They also have 3 games in hand and our need to win up there on the weekend now takes on a different scenario and a draw will not do the job. Take a look at the others down with us and tell me you don't have concerns for our future especially when you take in to account nearly all of them have games in hand on us, and even Crawley only need 3 points from 7 games to overtake us. Mission impossible - who knows?
That is the final score. The last two days with wins for Sheff U, Carlisle and Bradford have proved that scraping home draws will not save us. We have to get at least six wins now to even give us hope of survival!
No good news over the last 2 nights and I am starting to believe that we will definitely get relegated and for many months I have been saying "unless" in front of many scenarios but that time has run out regrettably. Lose on the weekend and combine that with a couple of results like Carlisle and Sheff Utd happening to some of the other candidates down with us and I think we can start heading for the trap door.
Most of the teams around us have to play each other, plus we have to play them. We can't do anything about what's going on with other teams. The one thing is Gillingham are on the same games played and six points ahead with 14 games to go. We play them at home so they are being dragged into it.
So were Bradford and Carlisle being dragged into it. But they keep getting more wins than we do. So we MUST get a better win to games played ratio, otherwise................
Quite right RoD- Its no good worrying about other teams results-We have no control over that- We have 14 games left. That's 42 points to play for, more than an adequate number to leave safety in our own hands.- We need to win and concentrate on our own results, and at least our run in appears less difficult than it could. Lets face it, if we cant get the better of the Crewes, Notts Countys and Stevenages of this world, with all due respect to them, then we deserve to go down to a lower level of football.
I agree but unless we turn these contiuned draws into wins and put the oppositin away we will certainly not be ok. I'd like to see some real grit and determination at Sheffield on Saturday and a win. They are down there with us for a reason.
