Sorry Plum, but he makes more money in a week than you make in a year. Has contract deals with Lacoste and Helen Degeneres to name but a couple. Makes unbelievable amounts from making commercials. Made his first film when he was 7!! Not doing to bad for himself for a 24 year old.
Well, to the 'man-in'the-street' I guess he would be a waste of time but to top notch Companies looking for some advertising clout his usefulness is invaluable. People laughed at me because I was a 'Window Dresser' in the 60's but I was earning double (plus expenses) what they were earning. I came to Oz in the hope of joining the Myer (huge departmental store here in Oz) Xmas window display team (that's all they do - work on the famous Xmas Display) but I couldn't get past first base and finished up back on the tools (Painter and Decorator) before finally shoveling asphalt for the best part of 23 years before they found that I could print my name legibly in block capitals and put me in the weighbridge/dispatch office. I earned obscene amounts of money in the 'Ash game" which I spent on copious amounts of alcohol in the pub until 'stumps' every night. Each to his own I guess.
Yes, each to his own as you say. I don't dispute the value of advertising, as much as I dislike it, or in fact anything you say but I do despair sometimes at what seems to be a world where the pursuit of fame and celebrity status seems to be a respectable and laudable career choice and rampant consumerism seen as the answer to all known ills. I just think there are some things we would be no worse off without, these vines being one of them, Big Brother being another, I'm a celeb get me out of here another. And yes, I'm fast becoming an old fart!
Big in the US of A and Pay TV. http://www.thewrap.com/jimmy-fallon...-among-nominees-for-19th-annual-webby-awards/
She's fairly hard to avoid, she's a stand up comic, turned actress, turned chat show host, turned American Idol judge, turned awards ceremony host(the Emmy's and the Oscars). She's won 25 Emmy's herself and though she's obviously mainly an American star, she was in all the papers not long back for having the most retweeted tweet in history.
She also has her own 'history of the universe' ride at Epcot, featuring Bill Nye the Science guy. Pretty decent, it's airconditioned and gives you a chance to sit down.
OK, now I've heard of her! Funny though, I don't feel that my life has been enriched by the experience!
