he wasn't lifting his arm, as you claim, the rest of him was coming down from his jump. you try jumping as high as you can manage at the end of a run and stop your arms raising relative to the rest of your body. you can't. you sound like you've never seen anyone jump before. it's human physiology - your body will be trying to keep you balanced. totally natural position.
