A heart warming story, Arsenal have won the race to sign Lille striker Gervinho in a deal reportedly worth around £10million. The Ivory Coast international had already stated his intention to leave France this summer with the Premier League his likely destination and will now complete his move to north London within the next few days. After losing out on defender Phil Jones to Manchester United, Arsene Wenger has now fought off competition from Liverpool and Newcastle for the 24-year-old, who scored 14 league goals for the Ligue One champions last season. With the signing of young Charlton defender Carl Jenkinson already in the bag, it is believed Wenger will now step up his interest in Blackburn skipper Chris Samba and Bolton stopper Gary Cahill as he looks to strengthen his defence
It looks like he will go there but to be honest I am more interested in who N'zogbia's next club will be.
Liverpool, us or you. Maybe even a continental team. Care to make a bet? cos I certainly wouldn't place anything on either of the North East teams at the moment. Wonder how many spunk stained Gervinho photos are being thrown out today? quite a few if you read the mags posts over the last week or so.
newcastle are like my mother in law she always starts the bidding off in a auction room she goes too with no intention to buy it.. she does end up with boxes off broken ****e they are just kinding there fans about big players lol
I've got this gut feeling that he may well return to SJP. Isn't he a buddy of your new taxi driver, Cabaye?
Still early days my friend. lots of speculation but we need to replenish our squad first after the loss of so many loan players. Who've you guys been linked with? I would take a look at YOUR board but can't be arsed in all fairness.

Try not to get to wrapped up in all the speculation normally. Hate all these daft links to players. You never know what's right and what's bull ****.
According to Lille's director, Arsenal haven't even made a bid for Gervinho, and neither have Newcastle, so who knows what the hell to believe anymore.
