Which numbskull decided to give the opposition the complete School End.

Do they really think that giving away almost 20% of the grounds capacity is going to help? or is a good idea?

They sold it. We probably wouldn't have done.

That's a good point Sussex. I also thought the same thing during the game. What other club in the Prem give the away fans a whole end behind a goal? Do we also give up more of a percentage to away fans than any other club. It has to be a massive motivator for any away team to see a whole away end occupied by their own fans.

It was a sell-out but I'm not sure we could have sold another 1500 or whatever the lower tier holds. You could also argue that having the away fans in two tiers splits up their louder fans and makes it harder to get songs going.

As a club we're only aloud to to take the bottom tier if the away team don't request it. In the PL its a requirement to be able to provide 3000 away tickets. Can't blame the club on this one.

No, the requirement is 10% of capacity OR 3000; whichever is LESS. We can therefore just give the upper tier. Surely we can fill 16500 seats given the right marketing!!!

after yesterdays performance though maybe not. However giving saints the whole end was a big mistake. Once they went ahead their support drove them on and we crumbled.

The upper loft houses 1,700 so that might be the problem there as that isnt quite 10%. So unless the away team say they dont want it we probably HAVE to give it to them to make up the 10% thing. Which would explain why Swansea took half of the lower tier earlier this season.

Also matches like West Ham spring to mind or Everton where we did take the lower tier and the ground then looks bleedin empty!
