As above. Great goals but I think this is the inevitable downhill slope we were not hoping for...

Maybe - we have to get something from the Everton and Stoke matches coming up and then have a go at Chelsea as well.

If we're still 3rd after our next 3 matches, we might be alright.

It's how we respond from here. You cant be too hard in them. We played really well for 70 minutes but 2 **** pieces of defending have cost us and then the 3rd goal which was a great goal has knocked the stuffing completely out of us.
If we can win our next game and get some confidence back it's game on again. Come on we're still in 3rd place and have a great opportunity to get to the semi finals of the fa cup. It's not all bad!

We played a lot better than against Arsenal, came out and chased things down.I would have felt worse if we had played like we did last week.Man U really only had 1 worthwhile effort in the 1st half and scored.Think most spurs fans could see that coming,I know I did.
3rd is up for grabs, still 4pts clear with only 1 top 7 team left to play.Never expected anything else from this game.
The most worrying thing is the defence.

we said this last week crackerman..this was the match that was the response to the debacle..now next week is the response to the double debacle...to me ive learnt that this season we cant fight toe to toe...you only learn by admitting things not by saying .things could always be worse etc'

the fact that we played better should not console you....correct me if im wrong but before these matches did we not draw against a league 1 team and annihalate Newcastle 5 nil?

i should have taken heart from the 5 nil and i did but that didnt pay dividends in the next PL match following did it?

im not saying lets become like the silly goons and fluctuate our support but i dont like false consolation....

I'm not saying that im not gutted but you can't say we responded badly today? Yes the result was **** but it wasn't like united completely outplayed us. I would have criticised us after last week as we were **** but it's not fair to after today.

  9. For heavens sake, guys - show some cojones yourselves!!
Last week was awful but today wasn't other than a couple of basic defensive errors. There were some real plusses out there - Livermore and Sandro were immense and Lennon was really impressive.
Modders played well but his switching off caused the 2nd goal. Ade and Saha caused them loads of problems although chances were few. And yes, if the 'goal' had been given then things may well have turned out differently.

The next few games will be very important for sure, but we are still 4 pts above the Goons with a better GD and I am sure that at the start of the season we would have been happy with that.

If there was anything or anyone that could have been done today to change things then lets hear it. Other than Krancjar looking slow and disinterested when he came on, I would be struggling to be too critical about any specific performances.

Never once said I felt consoled, but I had this game down as a loss from the start of the season.I just said I thought we played well(especially in the 1st half)after last weeks debacle.I'm just being realistic and think 4th is more likely then 3rd.But we are still 4pts clear and more importantly 7pts clear of Chelsea.
The good thing is it's in our hands.

  12. Yet another capitulation against United. It really angers me that the players falls to pieces against - let's face it - the weakest United side in years.

I don't think we'll lose 3rd - despite the last two games - but we've gone yet another season without undoing our United hoodoo, and we're never going to be able to call ourselves championship contenders until we do.

Surely this season, if we finish third, is a major step forward? If we had been offered that in August, there isn't a man here who wouldn't have taken it. To go from fifth to winning the title is nigh on impossible. Man U: Been there, done it, got several of the T-shirts, Man City haven't but they can buy it several times over. As for the Man U hoodoo, we have dismantled most others over the past 2 or three seasons. That too will be conquered.

We need to finish third and consolidate our position. Us winning the Prem was only ever a device to sell more newspapers and Sky subscritions. Third for me will be a right result!

i always have said his tactical know how and positioning is abysmal..people overide that because they enjoy his marauding runs forward...ive said it for months....does that make me negative or justhonest and observent...or does it mean i wont support him?

ill take 4th as it means a pop at CL...but having been in 3rd most season then ill be deeply disapointed im afraid to say for myself....that it was 4th and not 3rd..because to me it says alot and most of it is negative im afraid of our team if that is the outcome....i bet supporters of the likes of Wolves.Stoke etc etc think that we are a bunch of arrogant so n so's and should be glad that we are fighting in the top 4..but is that any consolation for Spurs? relative to our dispalys and positioning up until now..then 4th would be a disapointment for me..but ill take it

None of u have mentioned that Adebayors goal should of stood and Phil Jones should of seen red.

We were **** last week but today we could of easily won. The defence were rubbish again though and that is the main worry .
