I don't know what is worse - the fact that the club think people are stupid, or the fact that there are people out there who genuinely think Colo wrote this.

The club are running scared. They realise that they have finally gone too far.

"I would like to make a call to all fans today to also leave aside all differences, all different opinions, anything that divides us as people who love this Club.

On Saturday, please come to St. James' Park, create a great atmosphere, support the team more than ever, because at the end of the day what matters the most here is Newcastle United Football Club."

so what happens if we lose again due to lack of investment in the team, lack of ambition by the owner, lack of tactics by Carver, do we still cheer ??

Listening to 5 Live and a Journo on there believes it is actually Colo who wrote it in Spanish then asked to it be translated the next day. Using phrases such as 'the moment we are going through' suggests at least parts are from him. No doubt stuff has been added later from the PR department especially the bit of "We do so understanding that a victory at the weekend means a week of joy for this city that breathes, lives and loves football like no other city in England." That stuff is straight up cliched bollocks.

Look I still love Colo. I can't deny it. Him and Woodgate have easily been the best defenders we have had in my lifetime. His heart definetly isn't in it like it use to but perhaps if he had an actual defender playing beside him save the likes of Williamson, Saylor, Dummett, etc who knows what might have happened. Playing with ****in **** players can only have an adverse effect on you after so long.

I actually do believe this comes from Colo and the players. I think this so called meeting was held by the players without the pr department and Carver.

Either way it highlights the fact that the players/club or both realise they have made a royal **** up.

Lets give the benefit of the doubt, its a no lose situation for the fans. Cheer the team on and maybe we win. Win.... Cheer the team on and lose, we get relegated and Ashley loses ****s loads of money... kinda Win....

Does it really matter if its all down to Colo or not.
Either way someone has come alive and realised we are deep in the ****.
One of the criticisms of the club is the complete lack of communication, so here they are communicating.

You don't have to believe there his words, but, one for thing for certain, we have to get behind the team on Saturday.

We'll truly see if it was from him on Saturday when he is the only available defender - let's see if shows some passion then!

If he can't speak English, then he should not be captain
nothing racist, we just need someone to give some of the English Refs a real mouthful about some of their decisions (see other thread)

Maybe the bust up has done some good, similar to the fall-out after the Orient arse-whipping episode.

What's the consensus? Have they FINALLY woken up? If we survive will we see a change?

Personally don't care about this sort of guff. They've been coasting (at best) and this doesn't even come close to making up for it. Whether we go down or not is of absolutely no consequence, we need a massive clear-out at the club. We don't ask for much, regardless of division, just turn up, have a go, play attacking football at least against those around us, and look like you're trying. That's not what has been happening.

Championship or Premier League, it makes not a monkey's toss. The only thing that cannot be allowed to happen, is the perpetual minimal input of effort and resources from board downwards, because it has permeated every level and now the playing staff, and it's no surprise to anybody.

Colo can speak English, I've seen one or two interviews with him in the past.

I read elsewhere a comment that I liked, whereby both Carver and Charnley as a minimum should be tendering resignations, effective 31st May, for their abject failure at this football club. I agree with that. I think it would lift a gloom, the fans would see potential for change and with it comes hope. I think some of the players feel the same and none are keen to play for JC or LC. Won't happen, but that's as far as my most optimistic thought goes these days.

I agree. There are three games left and right now the most important thing is that we stay up. The arguments, the head rolling, the clearing out of the ranks can happen after that but right now we - fans, players, Club - need the points. Whether or not Colo wrote it, whether or not he was told to write it is irrelevant. I read it and realised that yes I am unhappy with results, the attitude of the players, Carver - especially Carver - but that achieves nothing in the short term and it is the short term that matters most right now.

Mike clearly has his hand up Colos hairy ass.
That thought aside.. The whole Ashley out campaign wanted to prompt action from the club. I think it's fair to say the club are now ****ting bricks so Job done maybe.
    Time will tell I suppose.
Until then we need 3 points so I'll be doing my bit on Saturday.

Except for 1 game I've stayed away all season, but I may well attend the next 2 games. At least the last one if we still need points. If not to cheer them on, then to boo them off at the end if we go down. I hope we can get some atmosphere going again on Saturday as relegation would not be a good thing for the club at all.

What is the stance for the West Brom game from the AshleyOut.com lot? Are they trying to get a boycott going again or backing the team until the end of the season?
