    Sorry if anyone has already posted this.

    Peter Lovenkrands, who is in the team as a quick striker, won more aerial battles yesterday than Shola did all game.

    Shola is a donkey, he doesn't ever run and doesn't deserve his place in the team.

    Thoughts?

    I did notice that actually.
    However Shola didn't play as badly as what I've come to expect of him over the last few games.
    In fact at times he showed a bit of quality.

    And as for his younger brother...

    <cheers>

    At least he actually won some headers and caused a problem or two. Shola did Nowt.

    I share the opinion of many.

    You can tell if Shola is going to have a good game within the first 5 minutes.

    He seems to play better when he is competing for a first 11 place, when he is guarenteed it he gets lazy, slow etc.

    He is used as a target man yet wins few headers, loses the ball, falls over, doesnt dribble much, cant run and chooses the wrong passes consistantly.

    I remember when Best was playing, he wins most of his headers (even if it wasnt directing them very well) but would run his socks off and look for passes with an eye for goal. If he had the technical ability Shola has he could be fantastic.

    Shola unfortunately, has stepped up admirally and been very loyal. But he is not a striker that is going to progress the club.

    Personally I barely seen Lovenkrands touch the ball AS USUAL.

    He wasn't involved in either goal and gave the ball away cheaply whenever he did have it.

    Shola was just as bad though, and he's usually slightly better, both should go if possible!

    Shola was decent yesterday, he played quite aggressively and confidently and needs to play like that more often. He just seems to fall apart in and around the box.
