We have squandered 17 points from winning positions this season which if we hadn't done so we would be fifth in the League.
A frightening statistic Godders; encouraging that in many of those games (I have a feeling a greater proportion of them came in the first 6-8 games of the season) we were taking the initiative but disappointing that by 90+mins we had been wasteful on so many occasions. I wondered whether the Times had factored in the consequent point deductions to the teams we played in those games but at a glance that would be irrelevant as bar Spurs (who we didn't take the lead against) the top 3 would be too far ahead of our 34 point total anyway.
The only important bit is that we have thrown away a lot of points. Wouldn't work in terms of what position in the league we would be with those extra points because the same would need to be applied to all teams and that's not possible since each team could be in a winning position in the same match. As lamballana said, be interesting to see how we compare to everyone else.
you don't explain whether your aunt would have a cock in instead of her lady bits thus just rendering her a bloke or whether she would indeed be your transgender aunt/uncle
Also I think the most frustrating part is that it's often been down to our mistakes rather than good play by the opposition, as Beef says through goalkeeping or defensive errors.
They present a hypothetical situation but just because in this scenario we held all our leads, does not mean that all other clubs had to retain theirs.
We need to stop doing it. It's getting so you can't feel comfortable watching Saints, even with a 2 goal lead. Sort it out Nige.
'Tis better to have led and lost than never to have led at all. Without the leaky early-season defense and our poor keepers, we'd be well clear of the relegation zone; instead, we're in the bottom three. That's bad. However, despite a couple obvious holes, we're one point off safety, with a better goal differential than the other contenders. That's not so bad. And because we know what needs fixing, have the money to do so, and don't look terribly likely to get raided for talent in the window, we're in a better position than most to shore up our weaknesses. Many of us were worried in October that we'd be cut adrift, and that hasn't happened...a couple good signings and there is reason to believe that those almost-wins will turn into three points with enough regularity to see us clear.
