Many city fans far and here, express their views of wishing they saw so and so, bly, carter, wagstaff and chilton to name a few

so i was wondering, in a few decades, especially the younger fans

what will they say in regards to players from the last two decades, i wish i saw so and so?

Despite currently being paid to say daft things off the field, I think the second spell of Dean Windass will be one kids of the future wish they had witnessed.

He came back at an age when many footballers are looking to retire, when we looked certain for relegation, scored the goals to keep us up and send Leeds down, and then the season after formed such a brilliant partnership with Fraizer Campbell (which at times was majestic to watch) to send us up to the Premier League for the first time in our history, topped off with THAT volley at Wembley - all from a Hull-born lad.

I think although it was rare to see him play - Jay Jay Okocha was a magician with the ball at times. Shame we didn't see him more often - I do think him joining our club gave us that belief and feel good factor to go on and better ourselves though.

    You're confusing interesting with boring.

    Really boring.

To an extent the amount of TV coverage makes this less of a factor - kids whose parents and grandparents tell them about Windass, Geovanni, Vine et al will be able to see a lot of them on screen, if not in the flesh.

I think they'd wish they had seen Ashbee captain the club through four divisions, as that will never be seen again

I remember seeing him play for the reserves at Ferriby, he came right up to the touchline for a throw in when someone from the crowd shouts "lend us a tenner Jay-Jay". He pats his shorts where the pockets should be, shrugs his shoulders and runs off!!

Him and Ian Goodison are still probably the two most exciting signings we ever made for me.
