    From City's own website;
"The Sun newspaper will be at Ashton Gate tomorrow (Saturday) as part of their special Big Smile Giveaway - family fun and amazing offers to keep us all smiling through 'til Spring.

With plenty of smile-inducing offers still to come including FREE family cinema passes, FREE family days at top UK attractions Chessington World of Adventures and Alton Towers, plus FREE Lego toys, there's something to put a smile on the faces of the whole.

Plus, The Sun Smile Squad have been up and down the country performing random acts of kindness, so look out for them at City’s home for the visit of Nottingham Forest tomorrow afternoon.

They’ll be parked up outside the club's Community Park handing out free gloves from The Sun’s VW camper van, to put a smile on the faces of all the City faithful!"

As a Bristol City & football supporter I feel sad, no even ashamed, that BCFC is willing to get involved in such a way with this contemptible imitation of a NEWSpaper.

Just remember the Scum is not a newspaper it's just a collection of pictures of Tits and Bums with the odd bit of tittle tattle in it as well.
Sorry also full of rubbish about the 'I wanna sell you a Tory' parties achievements no I've already covered that in Tits and Bums haven't I.

This is what sickened me about what the 'Sun' said.....

    “The Truth.
Some fans picked pockets of victims
Some fans urinated on the brave cops
Some fans beat up PC giving kiss of life.”

I agree what they did was wrong but still don't see why a few people who probably don't have any say in what the sun put in there papers coming down to AG and giving a way free stuff is an insult to people who died at Hillsborough

Thank you Wizered for finding that. It really does sum it all up. RIP the 96 and all those affected by it.

If I had my way they wouldn't be anywhere near Ashton Gate. I still believe that most of the British media have got off lightly for their multiple crimes in recent years and I'd much prefer to see the club be more selective with who it talks to.

Isn't the editor of the Scum a City fan? If that is true, have the club been seduced by him?

To this day the paper has never given a sincere apology for their scummy behaviour. Kelvin Mckenzie the editor gave an aology in the paper but it was half hearted at least v his disgusting lies. as the paper has still not put that right should they be welcome here?

Dominic Mohan is the editor of The Sun and is indeed a long-standing Ted.

I don't particularly like the Star, Mail, Mirror etc. but I detest The Sun and will not have it in the house.

What that paper did to those Liverpool families when they were freshly grieving their losses was inexcusable. It took them years to apologise, and then they only did for commercial reasons. That piece of **** Mackenzie still doesn't really believe he did anything wrong.

Nothing wrong with Mohan (apart from the obvious!) as he seems a decent type, but The Sun as a brand is forever tarnished in my eyes and should not be in circulation.

If The News of the World was closed because of phone hacking, then The Sun should have been shut down years before.

In my opinion The Sun is responsible for probably the most disgusting piece of 'journalism' in the history of British media.

Well said Bluebaldee and everyone else who has posted. Seeing the City's website this morning about the Scum's "promotional day" at the Gate tomorrow really upset me, especially after Feb 6th earlier in the week. I hope some parents will not let their kids anywhere near the freebies on offer but fear that the kids who get them will think the Scum is wonderful. To all posters, may your teams bring you three points tomorrow whether the sun shines or not.

If they are not prepared to go out of their way to apologise e.g front page apology, investigation of their own papers odious practice and provide a explanation of how it happened, plus say a large donation to a charity of victims familes choice they are complicit by choice.
