2nd thread of the day but just seen a few good ideas for our forum Why don't we have a permeant thread where everyone posts new news and transfer gossip instead of the endless threads for each new story. And another where JA can post his ghost and scouting articles this way if you dont want to read his posts simply dont go on that thread and then we dont clutter up our board for of rubbish Just ideas though
That's not actually a bad idea to work with Some boards have created a single thread, whether it be a pub thread or some other type of thread, where more or less anything goes, BELOW GC level. This way it stops the clutter of sensible threads. As the example you have given, ja can then go there and talk about ghosts and whatever he likes to his hearts content. You could call it something like the recycling centre (only joking). This way your mod could also merge threads into this area, if felt appropriate, to tidy up anything that strays out of your own set house rules.
I think the thing to remember though, it is not a GC style thread, there still has to be standards within it enforced by your mod, however, if people want to talk non football, utter rubbish or even banter, then they've got somewhere to go. Obviously I cannot get involved, so have a chat with Super and see what you can all agree on

or set up a section on charlton page where i have scouting tips -comments on game and comments on other posts if anyone wants read them they can or not

Great idea. When I'm back from work and on the laptop- I will sort it out. Do you want a sticky thats for the religious use of JA, one for continued transfer rumours and our own "general chat" where ghosts of Ian wright stories can be posted? Let us know what you boys want. Most important bit- what do you guys wish to name them? Most creative answers win a cookie.
How about "borrowdales corner" (we all loved his corner kicks) for the pointless yet entertaining banter ...can I have my cookie now please
Good Idea blockmaddick. Give JA his own thread to post anything he wants and ban him from starting any other. Then we can all make our own mind up if we want to read (decode) his posts.
This is a bit of a stretch, but we could call it - Have a chat "over the bar" with Nicky Bailey. Good idea nonetheless, i applaud the efforts regardless.
or as into the valley section put 3 different chat sections good idea,ie the lounge -away fans banter and anything charlton could also put a page for fans couting players like i did with ferdinand a few days ago
