I think we all agree we need a decent striker so what about this for an idea - we offer Man City to take Tevez on loan for rest of season and pay his full wages of 200k a week. I know that is **** loads of money but if my calculations are correct it would cost us something like 15 weeks wages @ 200k which works out 3 million or thereabouts. Advantage to City is we have to play all of their title rivals and he would not be eligable to play them (win win for them!) Costs us 3 million but can we find another striker with half his ability for that price? no chance! Haven't been on here for a while (work commitments) so apologies if someone has already posted something like this - anyone care to agree/disagree?
I posted a similar thread yesterday after listening to Kia Joorabchian on Talksport, who didn't totally rule out a loan deal. MH is one of his clients so who knows, even if we pay half his wages it might be a plausible deal. Always expect the unexpected!...
Around 3 million for a player that has that much ability, that match winning mentality for half a season and keep us up? Any day of the week.
Sadly they have said 'only a buy deal' and no loan. Agree makes sense to loan until he moves in the summer. After today expect at least 3 new faces in.
They won't want him at City possibly distracting the team with all the sh*t that surrounds him, he'll be far more useful with us...
I've been hoping this can happen since Hughes took over, I think City would have it, then they will have the summer to get rid.
