Brady up front. He is pacy and tricky. It is what we are missing up front. He will run at defenders and draw them to give space to Fryatt. He would also be good with Dele as he has the pace to get onto knock downs. He would be very good against teams like Blackpool who play a high line, he could get on to knock downs or draw players in to create space or play on the shoulder to get the balls over the top. He could play as a slightly deeper striker and run at defenders and create space or as an out and out striker and run off the shoulders of defenders.

Pusic is another who could be played up front.

NP played him as a winger, but according to the German site transfermarkt for him, he's an offensive allrounder.

    http://www.transfermarkt.de/de/pusic/profil/spieler_48052.html

I don't think that means he can tell people to **** off in variety of ways...

Brady up front would work - but not sure he's got the bulk to offer anything different. Stewart is similar. He was brilliant on the wing but much less effective up front.

Not keen on that idea. I like that Brady gets back, and he wouldn't do so if he was a striker. He was a better left back than Dudgeon really, not impressed by the kid.

I like him on the wing, he works hard, challenge he made yesterday was awesome! too small to play up front and his trickyness works best on the wing. we'll score alot of goals from his cut backs.

Pusic could be interesting. We need two out and out wingers really. Koren is not a good option for the wing.

Brady and Cam on opposite wings would be swish. They're both ace but with entirely different characteristics and even John Moore could score a hatful with that kind of service.

Lets hope we can keep Brady beyond the initial loan.

strange really... the brief conclusion i have come to is that our front 4 shall be awfully attacking when Stewart returns, i shall not moan, we'll have a great attack however our CM's shall really have to work.
    Stewart & Brady are genious.
I certainly feel Brady offers more than Stewart.
If things don't go to plan and listen to the if things dont go to plan..
we ought to go 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1

I wouldn't include Gulcasi, I would give Basso a run out, Gulcasi kicking last night was awful. I didn't think Adebola was that bad last night, if our GK could kick accurately he could of had a few more knock ons for Fryatt. I agree, though about Brady, remember last season when we played stewart up front, we were on fire! I think when he returns we'll play him up top with Simoo and Fryatt and then have Brady and Koren supporting with McKenna or Evans holding back?

One game in, let's think about trying wacky ideas a bit later in the season.

very fair post to be fair. I certainly wouldn't write Gulacsi off yet but i would certainly fancy the 433 it'd be different. It'd never happen under Pearson with those players leaving 3 strikers on the bench but i live in hope.

Gulacsi as you say didn't seem to have immense kicking skills and seemed slow :/
Basso ought to get a chance somewhere but i can't see him being our number 1 unfortunately.

    Agree with your post though.

Totally agree about playing Brady up front. Was thinking the same thing last night. Would work well with one of the other forwards. And then could play Mckenna, Cairney, Koren and Evans in midfield. Brady could play in Rooneys position just behind the lead striker. He is very similar to Rooney, both in style of play and build. Got a sneeking suspicions that NP will do just that especially away from home
Saw the match on TV enjoyed the game but not the result. Long season but points on the board is what matters in the end. Still feel that the midfield needs to improve and of course our strikers need to stick their chances away.

Stewarts best form for us was upfront as a striker;]

Just to point out also, that at some point in the game against Blackpool, Brady was playing up front, when Barmby went right wing. Its happened already and its suggest Pearson has already seen this...

LOL. yes there has been much knee jerk reaction to fridays unJust loss. But when you look at all the results is that a surprise ? The championship has already proved that there will be NO EASY games in this league. Even Derby and Peterboro won there first game and they are tipped to struggle.

    A LOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG WAY TO GO.

But i do smile when i look at the league table, even after just one game in.

That's soooo funny after all the years we had to put up with Myhill and Duke kicking it straight into touch

I would keep him on the wing, he is quick and tricky, can shot, but more importantly for me offers cover for the full back.
I cant wait to see him and Stewart on the flanks, there pace will slaughter clubs. At home I would play Simpson and Fryatt up top, with Koren dropping into CM alongside Cairney (who played well and put his foot in on Friday).
Away from home 4-2-3-1, with McKenna for Simpson (two holding midfielders in Cairney and McKenna, a very hard working bank of three).

Am i the only one who thought Cameron Stewart was ten times the player when he was played upfront alongside Simmo? I know he was class on the wing also, as you can tell how much we missed him but i really thought his best stuff was when he was upfront. Problem was the fact we have to wait til October til he back.

I'm a fan of the second one, think we should use a 433. We'd be a similar side to what Swansea were last season.

No I totally agree with you, we were lacking in depth which may have opted the decision but I dont see why It cant be utilised again with Brady at some point in the season. I also did notice Brady playing deeper in their half when Barmby came on and we were creating chances albeit through the middle mostly, but space was created.

I'd rather see Brady down the wing, he was drawing 2 defenders a lot of the time in the Blackpool game and that gives the 2 strikers room. If he was up front that only gives 1 striker room.
His only problem on Friday was his delivery, i know it was only one game but when he cut inside he looked too eager to stick a shot in and never really looked up, if he takes a look he might see a better pass or dink that sets up a striker rather than shoot near post where the odds always favour the keeper. As for his crosses from out wide they were pretty average but i don't mind giving him the benefit of the doubt since a lot of them where with his weaker foot and he didn't really have a target when Dele went off, also his cross along the floor to Barmby was near perfect and probably should have been put away (though admittedly i've not seen the replay).
