Hi guys, Just thought you might want to know, I'v just found out through KopTalk that a book about the American's time in charge is being released by the Reds and Mirror Journalist Brian Reade titled "An Epic Swindle - 44 Months With A Pair of Cowboys". I think this is essential reading for us to understand exactly what was going on, what they were doing to our club, and what Rafa was up against. In it Rafa reveals all- have a look at the extract: http://www.koptalk.co.uk/2011042036...-beans-in-brian-reades-epic-swindle-book.html
S-K-B Is a prick but c'mon Koptalk its a load of **** the book might be good but that site with fat duncan the spoof is ****
Big Fat Dunc is a tool.I was friends with him on facebook, but he got uppity when some Irish people got upset when he started making out Irish people beat their wives. Its as untrue as all Man United fans are chinese.
I think it's gone #1 in the bestseller list. No surprise at the muppets showing up here in denial, preferring the uninformed media cliches they love to suckle on to comfort themselves to sleep in their sheltered housing beds. Waaa waaa, Houllier left a better squad than Benitez, waaa waaa. Waaa waaa, Benitez spent ã300m, waaa waaa. Waaa waaa, mediocre squad, waaa waaa. Waaa waaa, Benitez drove away Alonso, waaa waaa. Waaa waaa, two-man team, waaa waaa. But plus Alonso, waaa waaa. And Mascherano now he's gone, waaaa waaa. Waaa waaa, pay attention to me, Scousers, cos nobody likes me on my own board, waaa waaa.
The worst ones I've heard that Liverpool have spent more than Man United since the Premiership began. Its on some website produced by a Manc called http://www.transferleague.co.uk. Its as inaccurate as an Alex Ferguson post match interview after a defeat. Having lost 4-1 to Liverpool at the theatre of debt,Slur Exlax came out with this gem.....''The better team lost''.
Sorry if this sounds really stupid but didn't Benitez drive Alonso away? I think Alonso even said so.
I remember a lot being made of "No player is bigger than the club" just recently. So Alonso's sulking wasn't big or clever. But we got his best season out of him when he was sulking. At the time we were called a two-man team, neither of those two considered to be Alonso. Only since he's left has the revisionism kicked in and suddenly he's the only reason we came 7th last season. Rafa wanted Barry and Keane, or just Barry. He saw a partnership there. (Bellamy would later become City's best player with Barry behind him.) Parry bought Keane, then Rafa had to sell to buy Barry. When Alonso was first put up for sale the asking price was ã16m. We got one offer from Juve for ã12m. That's less than we paid for him. No wonder he sulked. But he blamed Rafa, unfairly in my opinion. Where were all these managers who rate him as a midfield genius? ã16m was surely a bargain. Alonso had been injured, come back and been injured again immediately. It was worrying. Barry scored twice as many goals as Alonso. Goals aren't everything but I'd rather have more bundled in than spectacular 40-yard passes to the corner flag. And when you watch Alonso's showreel it's full of spectacular. Attention-grabbing. While Barry was scoring twice as many. At the time Barry had replaced Lampard in the England setup and the partnership with Gerrard was working, turning results around. Barry is not a better individual player than Lampard or Alonso but I can see why Rafa wanted Barry. So one year after Rafa refused the one ã12m offer Real had their Monopoly money, paying ã80m for Ronaldo and ã56m for Kaka, which puts the ã25m+ for Alonso into perspective. Real was his boyhood club, so he might've gone anyway, as much as he loved Liverpool. Alonso was a great player but there's been too much revisionism over him. He wasn't driven away, he sulked and left.
I completely agree with that. Alonso left for ã34 million, which was a ã23.5 million profit on a player that had 2 good seasons out of 5.His first and last.He wasn't driven out as some would make us believe,He sulked and left. There was some people that criticised Rafa for making him play when his wife was giving birth.Rafa stayed with the squad in Tokyo in 2005 when his dad died.Rafa wanted commitment, the same commitment he showed,This is one reason why Alonso got the hump.
KPR Wasn't even trying to wind you up so stop being so petty. MFG Thanks for answering my question, not sure he always would have gone to Madrid though.
It is true,Arsenal ladies have won more than their male counterparts in the last six years.Arsenal fold quicker than a bad poker player.
http://koptalkinsider.wordpress.com/ Have a read of the stuff on that, now never link KopTalk onto here ever again.
And Arsenal for such a big club have never been European Champions even though supposeably smaller clubs such as Nottingham Forest,Aston Villa and Celtic have.
