Here at the half way point of the season we look at the teams most likely to qualify for the four lucrative champions league places. Manchester City. Likely champions Manchester United: dodgy goalkeeper, best defenders are ageing and injury prone, no real quality in the midfield. they do possess good wingers and forwards, and this should see them achieve a top four fininsh. (just) Totenham: Playing the best football in the league at the moment. But if 'arry' gets banged up for tax dodging it could easily fall apart. Should finish in the top four. Arsenal: If RVP get injured, it's game over big time. A near miss. Chelsea: No class, no history and plastic fans. An ageing team with an inexperienced manager Miss How they will finish Man City Totenham Liverpool Manchester United Thank You and Happy New Year
You have a squad containing utter ****e like Downing, Carroll and Adam and you think you'll finish above us Still, I'm sure you won't end up looking like a complete idiot writing us off
I did not write you off, I said you will finish fourth, which after today's showing is very generous indeed.
Just to illustrate my point if you picked a team from Liverpool and Man U it would look something like this: .........................Reina......................... Johnson....Skrtel.........Agger..........Enrique ...............Lucas.......Gerrard................. Nani.................Suarez............Bellamy ........................Rooney................. As you can see only two players make it into the combined squad. Conclusive evidence right there.
Nothing is decided in December, their is still a lot of football to be played, signings to be made and plenty of twist and turns. We're there and there abouts and that is where we need to be. It's going to be tight but we're have a good shout and that's good enough forme
Regardless of today's result, anyone that finishes above Manchester United at the end of the season will be the champions. Liverpool won't finish any higher than 5th.
Im guessing 1-City 2-Utd (close behind i might add) 3-Spuds 4-Liverpool. Depending on how how play in the new year will determine if we finish top four or not. Will be tough with Arsenal and Chavski close to us but i think we can do it. As long as Kenny stops putting Downing on the right ffs.
I think it'll be: City Utd Spurs then take your pick arranging us, Arsenal and Chelsea for the other three places. This is what I think, not what I want, obviously. But it's early days, so anything could happen.
He is an utter tool but yeah there's no doubt he'd get in our team. Quality WUMMING bazray, Berbs was on this one within 2 minutes sticking his little oar in More than likely it'll finish City, manure, then the rest is up for grabs. We all know deep down the FA won't let utd fall too far while Fungus is hanging on in there, the Spuds really have played well so far, Chelsea will spend again in Jan and with us and the Goons it's about whether we can keep our main players fit for a large chunk of the second half of the season. Despite what's not exactly been a vintage first half for us if we can replicate last years second half of the season we'll be well in with a shout for top 4.
1st & 2nd City United in no order, can't call it because City are in unknown terrority. 3rd We can easily make 3rd. The only real failure of a game was Spurs. Other than that we couldn't have been bemoaned the wins if we beat Sunderland QPR City United BlackBurn ect so realistically with a little fortune we'd already be very close to City and United. More of the same please but with an extra 50% added finishing Free. If we look at it without remembering poor performances by players, the team have been a greater sum than the individuals, yeah finishing has let us down, scored less than blackburn but we are in a good position still despite that because the team plays, the defence has taken up the slack to keep us up there 2 own goals lately apart If we become more ruthless in front of goal it would be great being as mean at the back as we are. Also, how bitter was it for mancs and spuds to see Gerrard back and playing as he is
1. Utd 2. Citeh 3. Arsenal 4. Pool/Chelski (The spuds will crumble, blaming bent refs, linesmen, sky sports presenters, dodgy pizza etc) 5. ^^ 6 & lower - who gives a toss?
I am surprised people keep slagging you lot off when the only thing missing from your game is being a bit more clinical in front of goal. We had same problem last year!
