Rumours abound about a certain player being sold at a massive loss... no not yoong andy. another non red player who just happens to be linked with LFC. I have two thoughts on this. 1. this has nothing to do with us as we are simply the linked club. I much rather be the linked club than the club whos player is being talked about as this shows the media don't think they can link our players to all and sundry any more) 2. what this actually shows is the media vultures are now circling chelsea. Just as they tormented us for years under G&H they now smell blood in the water down stamford bridge way so I think theyare in over drive making stuff up. Lt me expand on this second point. Villas boas stated this week that a certain rags "sources" were completely false , one such story according to Boas himelf in a press conference (not form that rag) was that he never asked anyone to come to the bench to celebrate a goal... this is an example, I think the knives are out for him. The press clearly think a frenzy of player sales is coming from Chelsea IMO, they are now linking all and sundry to anyone they can think of... examples: 1. lampard to utd merely takes frank being in and out of chelsea's side and links him to a side with no midfielders... 2. torres to us is the same, link the flop to his former club. 3. anelka was a done deal, 4.drogba has been mooted I for one am very glad its not my team thats getting this destabilising treatment on this occasion. That said Chelsea fans were not that bad on 606 (expect for one or two) when it was us compared to say spurs or arsenal or utd fans. I just feel the media are out for blood with chelsea now and see easy column inches about stamford bridge. I certinaly know what thats like and most of us do so while destabilising them may just open up a small chance for us its not really that big a deal to be crowing about. sometimes you wish the media would get put firmly in it's place but the reality of italian and spanish press style media in this country is only going to get worse not better
I guess what your trying to say is that we all know what Chelsea fans are going through, and we sympathize with you. This thread is almost like a plea or a protest against the media, opposed by us, the nation's REAL, football fans. <salute>
well that figure will be astounding for sure and i have wondered if RA copies everything liverpool do... first it was the flags on CL nights, then the buying of our players, then the banner for torres then meireles and now he seems to be trying to follow our example to the brink of administration too. no doubt RA is quite obsessed with us, i dont know why he just didn't buy us then.... but lil jatt hits the nail on the head. I think i know what a "real" cheslea fan might be going through as they watch the plastics change shade of blue but i think really the media are sharks that go out of their way to pick a target and ramp up the pressure until it falls apart.
The press are always there to destroy. Look at NOTW phone hacking zaga, they kept on denying it, and look at the amount of compensation/damages paid out.Maybe they would stop when someone take them to the cleaners.
Chelsea will dig themselves out and be challenging for trophies again no problem. Then they will be laughing at everyone else who was laughing at them. ****s.
