Red card definitely. Goes studs up, high, just to hurt and/or injure the player nothing else. Probably hurt like hell too. 8 games is a tad excessive though

Easily a red card but an 8 match ban is very harsh.

Seriously? It was studs up, high into the back of the leg with the sole intention of taking the player down in frustration and absolutely no intention of getting the ball. He was nowhere near it and it would have served no purpose anyway, as he would have slid the ball out and ended up giving away a corner.

I wouldn't even class it as a dangerous tackle, as it wasn't a tackle, it was a sliding kick and violent conduct.

I would class it as a dangerous tackle as it was into the back of the knee. A stud in there could've practically crippled the keeper. Definitely a red card, but not sure why it's worth of an eight match ban - plenty of others have been just as dangerous.

should be a 20 match ban
and its KDs fault, so he should be banned from the Touchline

I have to agree - that's not a tackle. Violent conduct - well worth an 8 game ban.

In the article, it says its not the 1st time this player has done something stupid like this so perhaps they are trying to teach him a lesson.

Surely the OP is on a wind up.

That's not a tackle, its assault.

Flew in with both feet off the ground at speed, studs up and hits him in the leg. If the keeper wasn't there he would have missed the ball by a mile.

    From the man himself.

He had no intention of playing the ball just decided to take a flying jump and hack down the keeper, from behind, with his studs showing... when the ball was irretrievable. Yet you think a 8 game ban is harsh?
