Seems all quiet from Amit with no tweets for days - thought we'd have some comment following the match on Saturday. Hope he hasn't lost interest. Supposedly he was in Vegas?
Yeah, I noticed that too. I think that there's something strange going on, and personally I'm pretty worried.
I know what i would do if it was me? I would stay silent. As far as i am concerend nothing has changed and just because Amit does not go on 'Twitter' for a few days, the whole world is about to end! Funny only a few weeks back people were saying that he doesn't get the profile that TF does, well now he does.
Worried because Amit hasn't twitted for a few days?? F*** me what is this world coming to?! No wonder they say the tech age has brought about a whole bout of insecurity.
Here are the facts: 1) Amit usually tweets every day, the 24th-27th of july was the last time Amit took even three days break from Twitter, up until last week. 2) This guy is usually very transparent with fans, and responds to concerns immediately on his account. 3) The rumours about the Mittals pulling out originates from a few journalists, and has nothing to do with Amit's break from twitter. They instructed people who didn't believe them to ask Amit himself(via twitter). 4) Lo and behold, none of the 100's of people who've tweeted Amit have got a response, and mysteriously his biggest break from twitter in months coincides with rumours of his family selling their shares. The rumours initially raised concerns, which were then exacerbated by Amit suddenly withdrawing himself from the public eye. I don't remember him ever having not commented on a rangers performance in his whole time at the club. This is why people are worried, we wanted someone to dispel the Mittal-pulling-out rumours immediately, preferably his son in Law. There's been no response from anyone whatsoever as of yet! If the mittals were pulling out/considering it, but didn't want to discuss it yet, then amit would have to abandon his account for a while. He can't tweet regularly about other topics because he would then be seen to be active on twitter whilst ignoring the rumours circulated by fans, which would go in the face of the transparency he preaches about.
Did anyone else notice the amount of unused seats in the posh C Club on Saturday? It was barely half full. Is that another indicator? I dont think I've seen that many empty seats for any game let alone v Chelsea.
Even if he was to tweet this second, it's now officially the longest time he's gone without tweeting since 30th april-7may
I didn't notice that, what did phil say? The only thing i've seen is a brief reference from Tony in a short interview he did today: http://www.false10.com/2012/09/interview-tony-fernandes/ "We have a stable infrastructure in place now at Loftus Road and myself and my fellow shareholders – Din and Ruben, and of course Amit and the Mittal family – all share the same common goals in terms of our short and long-term objectives for this Club. We have a very bright future at Loftus Road." Even then, it's hard to judge the tone of the interview without hearing it. He mentions Din + Ruben first, so Amit + the Mittals may have been an afterthought edit: Clearly the open all R's bunch are aware of the concerns too. This podcast was recorded today: http://playbackmedia.co.uk/qprpodcast/ Skip to the very very last 10 seconds of the podcast and Paul Finney mentions it as well
Have you lot never been to Vegas? You lose all track of time when you are in those places, people have been known to pass away leant up against one of those machines, their arm still involuntarily feeding quarters into the slot. It's almost as bad as IKEA in there. Maybe - just maybe - the guy's enjoying his holiday. It's also worth pointing out that if this thread was about Joey Barton, we'd all be jumping for joy at a few day's release from his twatterings.
