Just heard a telephone interview with Amit on SSN, he sounds genuinely excited about things down W12 way. Neatly sidestepped a question about Hoilett though. I'm really impressed by this man!
Although our Tony is slowly reaching cult status for me, Amit is the man i admire the most. For me, he represents the current heart beat of our club. Love the guy
agree, he's really taken the club to heart and genuinely wants to succeed. we owe him a huge amount of gratitude.
Tbh they're both pretty much solid gold. I've tried to fault them, but I find it difficult. TF is a great front man with bags of personality and popular appeal. Amit is quieter, understated from the club's point of view but seems utterly genuine in his love of the club. And it goes without saying, they're both extremely astute businessmen. Amit fronts for Lakshmi. Lakshmi, a man who is used to success, has, I think, really enjoyed riding QPR's wave of success (even with the rocks at the end of the last two seasons, Faurlingate and the loom of Prem relegation). If we do well in the Prem, I can only see it increasing his interest.
Amit reminds me a bit of slightly old school chairmen of the big clubs of the 80's and 90's. He's not courting publicity (Abramovitch or our own Tony) or controvicy (Mike Ashley or the Glazers), he's just getting on with the job of running the club and helping to make us the best club we can be. I'm pretty sure that if he / Lashki had bought the club from the Goons, he'd run the business the same way.
Amit, Lakshmi and Tony We are not worthy, I can't say thankyou enough times, You've made a 45 yr old (who's going to be a dad in nov/dec) a very happy man
Yes congratulations Kent. You do realise of course, that from November you will be permanently broke for the next 25 years!
Mate, you may be broke but if all goes well with you, you will have riches that money can't buy. Posted from the wedding reception of my son by the world's proudest Dad!
I played in a charity game with Bhatia and Saksena and they were both true gents. No ego's or arrogance, despite the wealth. Both spoke sense then and have continue to be consistent with effort and attitude. Very lucky club to have all these fellas on board.
Amit comes across as a very decent and down to earth man. I think he played a massive part in dulling the ridiculous excesses of Briatore and, lest we forget, he and Ishan Saksena appointed Warnock as manager. His passion for Q.P.R. is unquestionable and we are very lucky that it comes with shed loads of business acumen and common sense.
Agree with all of above. It is simply xxxking incredible what has been put in place recently, no other words for it.
