"It is with a heavy heart that I tender my resignation as vice chairman of Queen’s Park Rangers Football Club. It has been the greatest honour to have served this club as an owner and board member for the past three years. Although there have been challenges, the last 15 months have been a period of stability and success and it gives me immense pleasure to see QPR back in the Premier League where I feel the club belongs. However, it is clear to me from recent board meetings that my vision, strategy and direction for the club is very different from that of the other shareholders and board members. The recent decisions to sack club CEO and Chairman Ishan Saksena and significantly increase season ticket prices are just two of the decisions I disagree with. While it saddens me to leave QPR after such a successful season and at the beginning of an exciting new phase, I do not wish to be associated with or take responsibility for decisions made by the board and with which I disagree so strongly. The Mittal family had been in discussions concerning the possible acquisition of the club. However we have been unable to reach agreement on this matter and therefore those discussions have now come to an end. Although no longer a decision-maker at QPR, I shall continue to be a 33% owner and a 100% fan of the club. In due course, we will appoint a board representative to monitor my family’s investment in the club. I shall look forward to supporting the club as a fan next season and would like to thank Neil Warnock for his leadership and friendship over the past 14 months. It has been my pleasure to work with him and be part of the club’s recent success and wish the club every success in the premiership. Amit Bhatia

Here we go - Flav and Bernie are going to **** it all up, Can't say i'm surprised, Flav will get rid of warnock next and replace him with Bungle from Rainbow.

I really hope this is just part of the negotiations and Bernie sells to the Mittals for a reasonable price, but i doubt it.

They will want to make a silly profit, or they will just sit on the investment and watch what happens.

If we stay up or get relegted it will mean very little to Bernie or Flav.

    Gutted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It really does make you wonder what they think they can achieve by alienating their core customers, if the real fans are priced out the 'chic' brigade won't want to be associated with losers, which is what we'll be if Flav gets involved again. I can foresee us bottom of the table playing in front of 12,000 if we're lucky!

    F*ck.

We need to make a stand and get this board out. I can't believe Flavio Ecclestore has found a way to mess this up for us. We have the richest family in Britain wanting to buy us out, and all Bernie and Flavio are thinking about is making a fast buck. Something needs to be done.

That's the worry that we're going to get Flav's influence again and Warnock will be first in line, expecially if someone like Lippi is open to offers. Amit's done a brilliant job to bring some control back to the 'loose cannon' of a club we were, not eighteen months ago. How quickly it could change back.

The other possibility is, it's some kind of way to force Bernie's hand in the negotiations knowing that such a statement will cause uproar amongst us fans against Bernie & Flav. Let's hope it works!

Brilliant job Amit, hope you're back in the hot seat before the start of the season.

Nobody buying a season ticket would be a start, but even if the grounds empty they won't care they have the TV money now.

We are ****ed in terms of investment now.

THAT IS THE WORST FRIGGIN' NEWS WE COULD HAVE GOT!!

WE NEED TO DEMONSTRATE OUR DISGUST IN SOME WAY. SUGGESTIONS ????

Amit Bhatia and Saksena, not to mention Lakshmi Mittal are salt of the earth compared to the Briatore brigade. You can see from Amit's resignation letter that the Mittals were not in favour of the price hike. Could rant on a lot, lot more but think you all feel the same way.

Forget Faulingate. My God, didn't see this coming at all. This is really serious.

I so hope you're right but very much doubt it's brinksmanship Devon. Few ever return from a public resignation.

Bernie hasn't made his billions giving in to people like Murdoch so this will be no different. The only way to get shot of the F1 boys is for the club to be bottom and facing relegation, Bernie will play brinkmanship to the limit, little ****!

`Can't remember which thread it was but a few days ago I voiced a word of caution at people for next seasons expectations due to the ongoing involvement of Flavio Briatore with the Club and that I could never be optimistic as long as he remained. Oh how I wish I was wrong.

I'm not one bit surprised though and never had my hopes up too high so I don't feel as bad as some others might. I will predict right here and now that we will be relegated next season and Warnock won't be the manager at that stage.

The way things are shaping up Warnock won't be manager at the start of the season, we all know Flav dreams of Lippi managing his team....the ****!

I think this is all a ploy by that horrible midget ecclestone & briatore to get warnock out the reason he came here is because of our chairman & vice chairman now they have gone he doesnt have anybody he can trust i really feel for warnock now i think he may resign very soon.
