Amir Khan ducked Brook until he saw Brook was past his best. If Brook catches Khan or gets past the 1st 4 rounds he'll knock khan out cold. I don't know who'll win tbh
I'd like to see Brook win this one. I've nothing against Khan, but always liked watching Brook fight and that eye socket injury had such a huge impact on him. Would be nice to see him come back and prove himself. Either way, this should be a cracking fight. Plenty of needle between these two.
I think Brook will be stopped in 6 or 7. If the fight had happened when it should have, Brook would have marmilised him. Supposedly Khan has just kept threatening to pull out unless Brook allows him to knock a pound off the catch weight each time. I saw Brook the other day and he did not look healthy. He has to kill himself to get down this far now. Khan doesn’t. I think Khan will run early doors, get in and out. Then when that weight drain kicks in the mid rounds he will take advantage, sit down on his shots and Brooks resistance will be broken. I’m just going off what I saw from Brook. He looked gaunt and ill. I think Khan has covered off any rehydration too with a right to pull out of Brook gains too much weight from the weigh in. You could say it’s smart from Khan, but I’ve lost all respect for him. He’s ducked it until Brook has taken some ridiculous punishment from Golovkin, Spence, Crawford (moving around weights in the process), aged, and generally lost that zip. Khan is still a pussy and chinny though, so all the advantages he’s made Brook agree to doesn’t mean it’s risk free. Brook can still punch and will knock him cold if he catches him flush. I’m just gutted that this is happening now under these circumstances all because Khan is a fanny. If you love boxing, then you know this isn’t right and it is completely the wrong time for this fight. Floyd and Manny was the same. It’s gutting and it’s why there should be one belt at each weight. There should be a fair system which is simple in terms of rise and fall in rankings. You want the belt and recognition, you fight the guy with it. You have the belt, you should be ready to take on any comer.
Khan was looked after and fast tracked to the top.. Brook couldn't get a shot for years and when he did made dreadful decisions to fight ggg. If he'd taken the spence fight before going up to 160 and straight back to 147 he might have won that fight. Watched him vs Crawford and he was winning that fight until a jab ended him. He's back with ingle though, so it'll be the best Brook that's left of him anyway.
Khan can’t take a punch. And he thinks he is better than he was. He’s finished and Brook will wipe the floor with him.
Hmmm im not so sure... Khan could blow him away with his speed.. Say what you want about khan's chin and lack of power but he has speed and a good range of punches. If Brook catches him though... You'll be right. Brooks washed up too
Yeah, like Pouchy says, this fight should have taken place years ago. Both fighyers now past their best. While Khan has talked a lot, he's always backed away from actually facing Brook in the ring, until now. Khan might be slight favourite, but I hope Brook wins.
I agree they are both over the hill. I’ve not seen khan fight much lately so he had speed but he’s a bigger lad now though.
I hope Kell blasts him into next week. It just concerned me when I saw him. That's as drained as I've seen him before a fight. Spence was bad after dropping the Golovkin weight, but this was worse again. Both of them have to overcome inactivity though. That's probably the thing which is most difficult to judge. Kell ain't fought in almost 1.5 years which was Crawford. Khan I can't even recall? Was it that farce in Saudi in the middle of 2019 against that Aussie lad? That is a massive amount of time if so.
