Just saw this on an American sports website, in an article on 'most hated sports teams' <laugh>

"Though now irrelevant, Don Revie's hyper-physical Leeds teams of the 1960s and 1970s were incredibly successful and one of the most hated clubs in English football history"

Not so sure about the 'incredibly successful' part though :emoticon-0112-wonde

The best way to start an article about Leeds united!
    "Though now irrelevant"

surely "before they were forced into receivership...." would be a bit better?

If I'm ever discussing our West Yorkshire cousins, I prefer to start any sentence with the words
"The sweaty ****ing ****s from a few miles north of Wakefield...."
