    After the Haye fight we got into a discussion about Ameobi (we didn't want to reflect on the fight) and came up with 2 possible positives for him.

    1) He plays well against the mackems.

    2) He probably has the most amount of vowels in his surname per letters I.e. 4 in 6, 2 in 3.

    Can anyone else point out anymore positives? Also is the second point right? Can you think of anyone elses surname who has more vowels per letter ratio?

    He's dedicated! He played with a mask on when we were short on strikers, can't ask for more than dedication!

    Rob Lee equals the ratio.

    In all seriousness his strength and weakness is his unpredictability. On occasion he's pretty skillful, or decent in the air and can make an opening. Problem is that you may as well roll a dice to see which Shola you get. Decent finisher too, look at his goals and you'll see that.

    POSITIVES

    Never, ever misses penalties.
    Always scores against the mackems.
    Actually quite skilful for a player of his size.
    Put his career on the line whilst wearing the mask and also played through the pain during a serious hip injury.
    He'll never leave.

    NEGATIVES

    Slow.
    Lazy.
    Gives away too many unnecessary fouls.
    He'll never leave.

    I put it to anyone on this forum to name a better back-up striker than Ameobi currently playing in the EPL!

    EDIT: Apart from the 'One Greedy Bastard' and B-52, of which both are arguable currently!

    hmm, good shout but still a small run of form surely can't stand him better than Ameobi?

    Dimitar Berbatov <whistle>

    He was back-up towards the end of the season.

    Berbatov and Hernandez were rotated strikers, not exactly back-up striker like *Ameobi, Owen, Bendtner.

    *Say what you want about Ameobi being first choice but he was only picked because there was no one else

    Off the top of my head: Bendtnar, Adebayor, Dzeko, Bellamy, Berbatov, Sturridge, Anelka/Drogba, Kalou, Pavlyuchenko, Defoe, Kalinic, Fletcher. There's also a lot more that are debatable (like Agbonlahor)

    Bendtner = B-52
    Bellamy = Been at Cardiff all season, first team
    Adebayor = Been at Real Madrid, rotation
    Dzeko = Rotation player
    Berbatov = Rotation player
    Sturridge = Been at Bolton, first team
    Anelka/Drogba = Rotation
    Kalou = Arguable, considering his supply, he doesn't score many
    Pav/Defoe = rotation
    Kalinic = Not better than Shola

    Fletcher = First teamer just been injured and stuggled to get in

    Batoltelli = First teamer / Rotation

    Chamakh - FAIR ENOUGH ILL GIVE YOU THAT ....lol BUT only because Arsenal play with 1 up front ... otherwise he'd be first team....but I still give you it ...

    He's just generally quite a poor player. Last season he had, IMO 3/4 good games (Sunderland home!, away, Wolves home and Wigan away). Can't really remember him actually playing half-decent in any other games (Correct me if I'm wrong)

    Bendtnar, Adebayor, Dzeko, Bellamy, Sturridge, Kalou and Kalinic aren't even rotators, BTW! Three of them were so insignificant they were sent out on loan. The rest only get sub appearances or the odd game

    They were only insignificant because of the amount of selection ahead of them ... therefore when they were loaned out they were all pretty much first teamers.....BTW!!!!

    Dzeko is clearly rotation

    Kaou is terrible given his supply .... he's ****, he's made to look good because of the team he's playing in, I could score 1 out of 5 chances playing up front for Chelsea. Kalinic isn't better than Ameobi either
