Not sure which bookies you use fella, but Paddy Power have got him out at 66/1, well down the list and longer odds than the likes of Carroll, Fletcher, Rickie Lambert and (wait for it...) Shola Ameobi! You can get just 40/1 on Ameobi being top scorer, that's surely ridiculously short!
Anelka is the same as RV-Dubz, and to be fair they could price them up as anything as neither are going to be the golden boot/shoe/stilletto - or whatever it is they win - winner, as much as we'd love to dream.

Not referring to the OP at all, but I think some people might be expecting a bit too much of him already and seem to assume and almost expect him to be a 20+ goal plus striker from the off. I honestly think 15 goals would be a great return for him from his first season, I'd be happy with that and I wouldn't be overly disappointed if he only scored a dozen or so, as long as he looks the part and contributes to the team in other areas as well as hitting the back of the net.

Paddy Power have us at 5,000 - 1 to win the EPL, fancy a flutter, welly?

As for RVW at short odds for top scorer? Err...nope!

Nope, but given decent odds I might fancy you lot for a top half finish. <ok>

Looking at oddschecker Bet Victor have him 100/1, Paddy Power at 66/1, 32red at 64/1, Betfair at 80/1 and Skybet are the best at 50/1.

Not a single one has short odds and not a single one has him even close to the top ten and most don't even have him in the top 20, so like everyone else I'd love to see where these odds have come from.

    They've come from 'fantasy-half-hour.com'

But to be fair, he holds up well with the likes of Shane Long, Danny Graham, Ricky Lambert and the like, all of whom we've been linked with.

Sounds good to me, can't wait to see him in action.

    And rightly so <ok>
I just listed some names and I wasn't suggesting for a moment that he should have been shorter odds than Carroll, I expect him to have a good season for the Hammers if he stays fit and wouldn't be at all surprised to see him score 20 goals. I think Ameobi might be pushing it a bit though, surely he should be out with the 80/1+ crew such as Crouch, Graham, Holt, Long etc.

How do you work that out? The players that you quoted above all have Prem experience, RVW has none, how does he "hold up well" with them?

It's where you'd expect him to be Welly. Don't think that's unreasonable.

    Side-stepped my reply? <laugh>

...and Fast and Furious 6, seriously? Do you never get fed up with perpetual remakes of the same story?

Apparently FF6 is the best yet, but I'll give it a go, see what happens, have a couple of bongs along the way, y'know...more looking forward to WWZ, I do like the my' "Zombie-Masher" films...the best Zombie film ever has to be "Brain Dead", real low budget but directed by Peter Jackson, the guy who did the Lord of The Rings and all that, a true classic, and the benchmark that I set all zombie films by! <laugh>

Talking of Zombies, have you been watching Les Revenants on TV?

I usually hate anything 'supernatural', but I'm loving this.

Sorry,my error. The odds were on being the top scorer in the respective club.Personally I would expect to see him about where Holt was in the 2011/12 season.
