I went to the game tonight with my Pro-Leicester supporting family, and can I say how much of a laugh the Leicester fans were even though most knew I was a Hull fan.

The game was an amazing display of football and Leicester were literally one shot away from Wembley and unfortunately, it wasn't to be.

The chant, "Number 1 - He's on loan, Number 2 - He's on loan" etc made me giggle!

Unlucky lads, can't see Pearson keeping his job much longer.

    Thanks Candy.

    Appreciate it <ok>

Would have been very surprised if anyone had got revved up about you being a Hull fan though.

Weren't we chanting "Engerland" at some point too!?

Thanks though Candy, it's nice of you and the other Hull fans coming over here and making respectful comments on a day that was absolutely gutting for us.

I was talking to the group of fans my old man used to go with, and they were saying how surprised they were that Hull finished 2nd, but how they were quietly optimistic that they'd win tonight.

There was also a younger group who found out I was a Hull City fan, and started chanting, "You're only here to take the piss, you're only here to, only here to, only here to take the piss!" whilst we were in the concourse but then bought the next round for me <ok>

Do you think you'll lose any players through the Summer?

I wouldn't mind snatching Schmeicel and Morgan from you in all honesty! <cheers>

I've never seen a confrontation with an opposition fan that we don't see as a rival.

I too am still surprised you've been promoted. I don't see an awful lot of difference between our squads. Suppose the difference has been the mentality, to watch you scrape through that streak of 1-0 wins when you were being outplayed by relegation threatened clubs was ****ing heatbreaking to watch while we were conceding late goals against the same sort of teams.

Worried about Schmeichel leaving the most (see the thread that popped up on your board about him for my opinions) but I don't think Morgan will leave.

We took a punt on him, he's never really had a season like this at this level and he's 29 now. I think it'd take a lot of money for us to part with him and I can't see anyone offering it.

The difference between us has been the motivational skill of our respective managers. Quality wise our squads are pretty equal, but SB has got everything + more out of our squad, while Nigel has only got the best out of your squad occasionally.

I think that's very true about mentality. I think Hull having an older, more experienced squad may be a disadvantage in the long term but it certainly helped this season. The real surprise to me is how Hull finished above Watford - I know it came down to the last day and Watford imploded but overall I think they're a much better team from what I've seen. I can only put it down to Watford's poor start.

I think if Watford started like they've played since November then they're promoted with ease, probably winning by a fair few points too.

Well, in truth I don't see us going for any of your players as they clearly don't have what it takes. I did quite like Knockaert, but having seen his embarrassing blabbing today, he also hasn't got the mental strength required.

Bite to what ? It's the truth.

If we are being completely honest, as I accept you are with your surprise at our success, then lets be honest about everything.

Your players are paid highly, they are valued highly, you were favourites at the start of the season etc etc etc. So what went wrong?

    Be honest, what happened?

No bottom-of-the-Prem clubs have signed any of our players yet and you lot won't be any different. But Sweet Jesus, you are going to need some signings from somewhere. Fryatt, Hobbs and Prozzie in the Prem? Good luck.

"Blabbing" "he hasn't got the mental strength".

He's just missed the opportunity to play at Wembley, something he knows his fans and fellow players wanted desperately. You cannot blame him for being down and I think it's ****ing sad of you to suggest a lack of mental strength. But then again, what would I expect of someone like you?

Yep, crying after a game of football definitely shows a lack of mental strength.

If there's one thing you can say about John Terry, "lack of mental strength" would definitely be it <ok>

That Paul Gascoigne. He lacked mental strength.

if watford get promoted, it will be interesting as both them and hull play the 3-2-3-2 wingback formation which i rate highly - maybe the way forward

What? You think we won't sign anyone???

Of course we'll make signings, but a ask yourself this, unless you believe that teams get promoted by luck (and if you do then you are deluded) then you must come to the conclusion we have some good players. So instead of concentrating on those you regard as useless, try to think of which of them have been winners. If you do that it might help you analyse why you have failed.

Let me help you. James Chester, David Meyler, Ahmed Elmohamady, Robby Brady, Abdoulaye Faye, Robbie Koren, David Stockdale, Sone Aluko. Theses are ALL quality players not only at Championship level but higher as well.

When your squad consists of that kind of quality and experience perhaps you will see the kind of success we have this season. In complete truth, if we'd had a reliable Goalscorer this year we would have beaten Cardiff to the Championship this season.

Leicester were favourites because all the Leicester fans backed them - the bookies didn't make them (or anyone) favourites as they only respond to the bets they receive

If Watford go up where do they stand re all of their loan players? I know the Football League are clamping down and closing the loophole they have exploited, but what about the Prem? I know they have a 3 year transfer embargo whatever league they end up in
