Amanda took off for Vichy with our arab stallion to compete in the French Arabian Championships at the weekend. Having won the Gold at the Normandie Arabian Festival for the second year running, we had to give this a go. To be honest he wasn't at his best going into the competition just lacking a bit in muscle but still looking magnificent. It was a great show and he received lots of compliments. He came 4th, just missing out by 1 point for 3rd place out of a maximum 400 points. General consensus was that he should have finished third and that with his movement he could well trouble the best when muscled up. The first 5 qualified for the World Championships to be held in Paris in December. Considering that was only their 3rd show and Amanda was up against real professional handlers, it was a very pleasing performance and Amanda is learning all the time; well worth the 18 hour round trip. I hope to get some photos, and with any luck some video clips, to put up for anyone who is interested.
Congratulations Ron. The hard work that goes into horses makes the success all the sweeter when it comes. Looking forward to seeing the pictures and videos.
