    9 games in...

    • We have won every home game.
    • Scored more home goals than anyone else.
    • Scored more away goals than anyone else.
    • Are Top of league, even after a loss because, um, we have done better than anyone else.

So after reading alot of negative comments since last saturday and again last night, if we've got problems, every other team in this league must have bigger ones, right?

P.S. If this has jinxed saturdays game against Watford, I apologise, I will accept full responsibility. :emoticon-0107-sweat

It's just a kneejerk from fans who have become too expectant following our recent incredible form - you're completely right of course, but it was always going to happen.

I wouldn't say being negative, just certain faults come up when we lose, such as naming a defensive bench

Not me. The result was a shame but a quick look at the table cheered me up. Anyway I hit Cardiff and forgot all about it.

Referring to the OP's post first: I alluded to the fact last night that one of two people were overreacting, and letting their disappointment turn into criticism. I don't mind a whinge myself, but I'm absolutely sure who's better qualified to do the job out of Me and Adkins, so every criticism would benefit from backing off from the level of vehemence that it carries, and also be tagged with the in my opinion label.

Dan, I entirely agree with your sentiments, and SF4Life, faults always come up when we lose. That's where improvements come from. Faults are also there when we win, but of course, we choose not to sound them, and when we do they are always our own opinions. Which, of course means they may not be correct.

Let's draw the Adkins Blue Line under it and move onto the next match.

It is just people expressing their frustration and disappointment at a loss. Again perhaps one we should not of lost. We are going to lose quite a few more before the season ends but we will win quite a few more as well. Cardiff are going to be nobodies push over so expect a few results to go their way at home at least.

I was just annoyed that it was my first away game in ten years, due to my illness etc. And we played like that im willing to forget and move on tho.

Nicely put Dan - it's also important to remember we have a young team. For all the success we have to date this season - they are still learning to play at this level. Before the weekend, I would have been happy with two away draws - we got one point instead. Is my cup half full or half empty - most definately the former.

NA was asked the other week did he think about promotion given our success to date - his response was that he would look at the table in January and if we were in the top 10; then we might allow himself to think about it -spot on attitude! We take it game by game.

Just to put the results into context, Norwich went up last year and only won half of their 46 matches. Our win ratio is better than that!

It's pretty reasonable to imagine that we will drop out of the top two in the next few weeks. Hopefully we won't all lose the will to live.

As usual, you and I have the same view. I still maintain that a 10th placed finish will have been a good season.

Who would you put on the bench then, bearing in mind Barnard's injured and the rest are very young?

Lee Holmes, Jonno Forte has changed a game many a time, Ryan Doble could make an impact if he was here, Obviously Steve De Ridder and Richard Chaplow

the season is a series of unrelated matches. After each one we assess our performance, assess what went right what went wrong, and move on!

No negativity from this direction as Nigel gets it right more times than he gets it wrong but Cardiff had a depleted sqaud and we seemed abit to cautious first half and created little as against Burnley. On both occasions the shackles seemed to come of after we went behind and we created chances and dominated the closing stages of both games. Just my opinion but i feel we are at our best when pressing teams back than when we are trying to consolidate and play conservitively. It seems Kelvin was slow and ponderous with goal kicks from early on which is not for me ultimatly we are an uptempo outfit and Cardiff were there for the taking which is confirmed by the fact that both goals conceded were poor. That said i am sure we will make Watford pay saturday before i am dubbed negative
