Just booking some tickets, and because the Bristol City away game has been moved to Sunday I can now make it, but I'm not sure I'm going to bother - "Fans should note that the seats, which are unreserved and are located in the covered Wedlock Stand, do not have a back on them." So we're going to be sitting there like perches full of parrots are we? How has this got past Health and Safety? If you love Charlton, stand up...
may be worth putting that question on the bcfc page. seems a strange setup considering the regulations on grounds in the top two tiers, but i guess they're perfectly good and safe so long as they're not terraces of any type...
Football ground guide says nowt about the seats. Only mentions that you won't see much if you're at the top of the stand
Here's a response from Three Lions BS3 on the City board - Its a terrace with seats bolted in - most in the city section stand. Old skool ground and fans and all the better for it. Might wear my padded bike shorts.
That doesn't really answer the question. Lots of grounds have bolted seats onto the terrace, usually with backs on the seats. Isn't that what's in the Jimmy Seed?
I have to admit, AllHell that at first glance they do look like incontinence pants and because they're a rather odd shape at the front I don't wear them in mixed company, but when you get to my age, and still going off-road you've got to give your prostate all the help it can get...
When I was youngster, we used to call that form of seating a bench. Perhaps we're going to be in the junior section!?!
