Or are the HDM just enlisting a travel writer to comment on our games? http://www.thisishullandeastriding.co.uk/Hull/story-17602412-detail/story.html I'll also go for competing with his story as well, for one odd moment alone I'm looking for the excuse. 2am finish work. 5.15am leave the house. Get a coach to Edinburgh airport, have a 2 minute turnaround to get a bus to Waverley station, arrive at Waverley station on time, 3 minutes to get to my train, no screens working to locate train at station with 20 platforms. 40 minute wait for train to York. On the train to York decide I need to go to the toilet. Engaged so I step to one side and wait. A guy comes out, I go to walk in, more than a little surprised to find another guy stood there still zipping his trousers up. Arrive in York to get a bus to Hull, I could get off at Selby and wait half an hour for a train to Hull, but I'd be out in the cold and get to Hull about 2 minutes earlier. Stay on the bus, and on the backroads see someone running up the road towards us in what looks like a cheap version of Sheldon's flash costume. Arrive in Hull with just enough time to get a patty and chips before getting in for the game. please log in to view this image He had the t-shirt, as well as a hat that made it look like he had the mask as well.
I believe that is written by a member of the public, the new website allows anyone to add stories. They presumably moderate them.
Sounds like such a die hard fan that he couldn't make the journey down from near Newcastle ONCE in the ten years we have been at the KC!! The last bit makes me laugh... "what a day it had been, more chaotic than I'd hoped but for Hull City? I'd do it a thousand times over".- **** me! How long does he intend to live if he only goes to one game every ten years!!! Haha
If he can get himself to Newcastle he can jump in my sleek motorway hugger and I will clue him in to the realities of lots of fans who travel even further! To be fair, for the Fail that's a damn good article!
