Hi Shiny, not one of my favourite trips/grounds - the last time I went (a long time ago) was a last minute decision on a New Years Day as one person at the do didn't drink and volunteered to drive. Spent the whole time getting there feeling rough as a badgers arse and passed several cars pulled over with guys heaving in the hard shoulder.

It rained all the way there (and back), the away end was open and nearly 2,000 City fans tried to shelter under the roof of the 10 foot square entrance, needless to say we gave up after a while and got drenched, Bobby Hutchinson I think (could have been Gary Shelton) got sent off and we lost 2-0 after which, I vowed never to go back - something I have managed to stick to

There are some grounds that you just knew we weren't destined to get anything - I went to Elm Park (Readings old ground) goodness knows how many times including the "riot" that never was and didn't even see us score, EVER...

i have the same luck with the hawthorns, i went in our first season in the championship and we lost 4-1 with byfield scoring and i laugh now because we had trundle and showunmi upfront, then i went the other season when we lost 4-1 AGAIN! and this time the turnstile had broken and they couldn't take out tickets, so we had to stand in the rain for half an hour, then to top it off before we went it wasn't a sell out game so me and my mate thought we could sit next to each over, Only to then find out it was a sell out, so we had to share 1 seat for 75 minutes stood up whilst everyone was sat down, but luckily people left early and we found ourselves a seat, so like you i have vowed to never go back.....
