French defender moves closer to Liverpool move 36 CommentsEmailPrintShare Mixx Digg Facebook del.icio.us reddit StumbleUpon Twitter Myspace ArchiveLFC To Go iPhone App LFC Podcasts LFC Toolbar Browser Add-On RSS Feeds Aly Cissokho has moved a step closer to joining Liverpool after Manchester City pulled out of the race to sign the Lyon left-back. The Citizens tied up the deal for Arsenal's Gael Clichy earlier this week and the former Gunners' move to Eastlands means Roberto Mancini has now dropped his interest in Cissokho. A fee of around £10million is likely to be enough to prize the French international away from the Stade Gerland. Cissokho said in April: "Lyon is a city and a club that I love. I'm happy in France but if I ever had to change clubs I would go to the Premier League because they practice a style of football similar to how I play on the field Source:http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/media-watch/french-defender-moves-closer-to-liverpool-move
Yes. He's a solid defender and would sort out the rather problematic position of left-back. At £10M, he would be excellent value.
Never seen him play to be honest but if Kenny thinks he is the man then I'm happy enough. £10m is cheap as chips these days anyway! He could be the next Djimi Traore, Champions League winner extraordinaire!

Sound's like a good deal to me for £10mil and he's only 23. I would def have him over Enrique for that price.
