Premier League champions Chelsea, who currently languish in 14th place, have not put relegation clauses into the contracts of their star players, meaning they would be committed to a wage bill of around £200m if they were demoted to the Championship

    Unfortunately, it won't happen.

Newcastle, Sunderland and Villa will see to that.

    Pity though.

Think Newcastle will get out of it myself Ernie. Can't see fat Sam getting sun land out of it but this is when he earns his corn.

With Roman at the helm he would have to stay at home and have a few more takeaways for a couple of weeks to compensate. He would then in due course write off the loan to cover it. The implications for Chelsea are zero, that said it won't happen as others have suggested.
