Seems he's back. SUNDERLAND boss Gus Poyet bhas been handed an injury boost ahead of the visit of his old club Chelsea. Poyet will have South American pair Sebastian Coates and Ricky Alvarez available, with the latter coming through training unscathed this week after he wasnât fit enough to feature in the squad for last weekendâs stalemate at Leicester City. But Billy Jones and Emanuele Giaccherini will require at least another week before they are back in contention. âAlvarez is back and heâs going to be available for Saturday,â added Poyet. âSebber Coates has trained all week as well no problems. Heâs challenging for a place. âWeâre just waiting on Giaccy and Billy now. Maybe thereâll be back in a week or 10 days and then itâs up to them.â
Good news but Giacc is the man we need fit again, he is the guy that can create chances for us and given chances Fletch and Wickham will score goals.
I think Alvarez can too from the admittedly little I've seen of him. They appear to have vision that we are lacking a little - although I know for certain Johnson has that vision - it's just whether others are that step ahead he is. I'm worried with the "8 to 10 days" comment re Giacc and Jones but we'll see.
For me id tell Johnson to give me everything hes got for 60 minutes and then bring Alvarez on for the last half hour.
