Ok, I only watched in the <unamed pub> as I was working and couldnt afford the weekend in newcastle, but when he came on he looked ace and seemed to be taking the piss. Any better reviews from those who saw him live(and are obviously better fans) ?
Clearly wanted to score as a few times we had others in space he neglected to pass to but you can understand him wanting to make an impact after being out. Generally looked comfortable on the ball, some good touches and his pace/fitness didn't seem too far off, though obviously he'll need more time to be 100%. It was good for him to get a few minutes but he needs to be a little less selfish at times settling back in.
Same old really, absolutely class on the ball and loves running at defenders. He seemed a little too keen on scoring and had 3 shots from long range, one of them was a decent effort though and Vito could only push it round the post for a corner.
He seemed up for it. Never shied away from having the ball and left a few defenders on their arses. He'll definitely give us a dynamic option going forward. As will Brady, the only problem is fitting them all into the team!
Great to see him running at defenders at speed and really getting stuck in. He could really open things up for Long and Jelly. Happy days!
I cringed when he went down under a few tackles, but good to see him get through unscathed. Agree with the comments that he should be a little bit selfish, but 2-0 up you can't blame him really.
He was all class. I can't think of too many players with his skills that I've seen, who are so willing to engage in 50/50's. He really is surprisingly strong on the ball and it's no wonder he gets caught in so many tackles from behind.
But for Vito Mannone he would have scored. In fact but for Vito we could have had 4 or 5 actually. Nice to have him back. Brighton beware.
