Where do they go in the side?

Bearing that in mind we have a lot more strength in depth then many of the sides below us we have drifted out to 6/1 with many bookmakers for relegation.

We'll done Lads, Bruce and his staff for this first half of the season we have a lot more quality then the class of 08/09. we will finish just as strong as we started this year.

Depends on the system we're playing and who else is injured at the time but a good dilemma for Bruce to have.

I think although we ran rampant over a poor Fulham side yesterday, we need to not get carried away. We could just as easily get humped on New Years Day. We still need a "proper reliable" new striker, at least 1. We don't know how Sone is gonna be when he's back, we don't know what Brady's recovery is going to be like. RoKo has his uses at the moment but his time is surely nigh, along with the other 3 or 4 we expect to ship out.

We have the makings of a good squad, best I can remember, but it's just a foundation at the moment.

We'll just have to buy Brady in January.

If we play 4-4-1-1 like yesterday, then Aluko replaces Koren.

Don't know about the others - depends on who the striker is.

I think in a 4-4-1-1 you need a striker who can hold the ball up but can also play and can link up play to your wingers.

I think the most suited to the role in England is Edin Dzeko.

Pavel Pogrebmere;elfewglwklak (probably spelt that wrong) did a fine job against us last week in the role. Although obviously you're looking for better.

I think the priority should be Livermore and keeping our eyes on a back-up (if he goes back to Spurs).

Another striker would be nice - but i'm not totally convinced we even need one. It's all fine and well saying we need to score more goals, but just buying a striker (unless it is Suarez) doesn't guarantee that. Sagbo does pretty well when chances come his way, is somebody else going to get more chances?

    Shane Long would do it.

Which is why we have to go for him as soon as the window opens.

I think it's clear that you need a striker and days like this prove it.

Yesterday in the first half, by all reports, you were pushing for a goal but couldn't take your chances.

Yet in the second half you took near enough all of them. That doesn't happen often.

You still need a striker because there will be games when you're away at a relegation rival, 1-0 down and a sitter falls your way. You'll need someone who can stick that away when in that position because if you don't then things could turn sour again.

I think you'll be fine and will avoid relegation with half a dozen games to go, but to make sure you don't a striker could see you battling for a top 10 finish.

why not? you played the champions 3 days ago and nearly beat them with another excellent performance. If it hadn't have been for Rooney, you'd have won. If this is the "foundations", then it must be very exciting times at Hull!

Hull are too good to go down, so enjoy it! :) <ok>

Shane Long, for me, is someone who sits on the shoulder of the last man and is looking to get the ball into space than into feet.

The dutch lad, Fingobasson or whatever seems to be a better, and cheaper fit.

I don't think that Long is any great shake. Happy to be proven wrong but he's not a clinical striker.

We've needed a quality striker for about three years now, putting six past Fulham doesn't change that, but it's good to see our midfield are also capable of banging a few in.

The beauty of our present position is that players will find our club an attractive proposition in January.
Teams in and around the bottom 3 will find it hard.
Should go out and get just one top striker who'll relish the chances our style of play will give him.

Hull City fans will never get complacent until we're mathematically unable to be relegated, after what happened in 08/09.

where does meyler come back into after yesterday? If aluko comes back to replace koren and brady replaces boyd (unfortunately) then where does big dave fit in? A lot of our players have stepped up to premier league standard this year who i didn't think would be able to. Some great strength in depth in most areas is a great asset for us over some of the other lower teams.
