Are the latest [non league] team to beat Barnsley - to add to the list of 10 League 1 sides who also have beaten them. What did the Gills manage - they managed to be embarrassed ( if losing to L2 Stevenage wasn't bad enough ). What a load of excrement we're playing lately ( for a team that is one point off the top ). We won't be 'up there' for too much longer if we don't start playing as if we mean it. Yes - we've had a 'couple'of decent results - but there have been too many games where we either overachieved - in terms of result - or scraped something 'at the 'death.' Please don't tell me that we suffered 'at the death' last week - because we got what we deserved - nothing ! - a bit like today !!! - and the way our performances have dipped - I will be able to add 'tomorrow' to this list. ..........and in case you say that my reaction is because I'm sore at losing - I will defend myself by saying that I've never minded losing - as long as my team TRY ! - we didn't -and that makes me more mad than any cheating referee or jobsworthy steward. Still - things could be really depressing - I could be a Chelsea fan !
I echo every word, and add one of my own.......garbage. JE, don't give me any of the 'we're punching above our weight' poo either. You either want to be up there or not......if you want to be up there, you're there to be shot at......so get things moving and get some support in or be prepared to slide down the table. Gills fans deserve a team and manager that can deliver.
yes we are punching above our weight, as most supporters expected Gills to end mid table BUT so are Burton Walsall and Bury so we may never get a better chance to make at least the play offs.
