see, i remember altidore getting sent off against you ( and a certain mr bruce and meyler playing) when he got sent off for being a petulant ****... i had pure anger towards him, that match pretty much confirmed our relegation but anyway altidore he ran about a load... fell over all the time, scored one goal.. and basically.. was ****ing ****e basically he made his debut and looked ****ing fantastic... this vid is his debut for us.. we all thought ****ING HELL, we have a gem here. and he scored 1 goal all season... this was in august.. and i think you sunland fans probably feel exactly the same
Unfortunately, Some don't, Brady. Some think he needs extra time to settle in. Those nasty Kidderminster defenders have played English football for so long - it just isn't fair. x
Do we really need article after article about how **** one of our players is? How does it help. **** sake man.
How does it harm? Striving for excellence and the best players in the their best position is a sin? x
Why not put it on the existing thread slating the lad. Wonder where this reputation we have as fans who don't back our lads comes from?
he has potential, he's 24... despite his sending off, he still has that element... but he's not showed it with us or you yet the only dutch player that i can think of who has excelled is suarez, but he's clearly world class i dont give a ****ing ****, but i really don't get how you can show so much hate to a sunderland player? we never did at city despite him scoring 1 goal all season.. you can see his celebration on wednesday.. he ****ing cares.. criticizing get's you nowhere. he might not be a sunlan player next season but while he is.. ****ing support him i know for a fact he's a confidence player, it's easy to critcize him.. but for **** sake, you're in a league cup final, and you will stay up IMO, i've met jozy, he's a genuinely nice guy.. just get behind him.. if he's on the pitch support him.. trust me
We cannot afford charity. We are still second bottom. He can;t do the job. He shouldn't be playing. When he scores I will cheer him. He can't hit a bull's arse with a banjo. He can't control a ball. He can't head the ball. Tell me I'm wrong
Spot on mate. And can I start you off on these Dutch players? Van Persie, Overmars, Bergkamp, van Nistelrooj.....
i should of mentioned the word recently. . suarez, van persie etc are in a different class to altidore but tbh i don't care if he does ****, im glad of it.. i'm just trying to offer a neautral pov for all i care he can keep getting blanks
Because it was a joke that workedd better as a thread title? I'm sorry mate a I don't get this lets pretend this or that player isn't bad in case it makes the supporters look bad. Any other profession where someone isn't capable of doing a job who then gets stick for it is exactly the same Like the Prime Minister he gets **** off everyone nd rightly so, does that make us bad voters?
I dont think thats fair though. We have always supported players who in return offer something back. I can think of dozens of players, even those not very good ones, that take on superstar status beyond their ability during and well after they play here. Altidore cost us £6m - £8m and was a keynote signing, earning (I will have as a guess) over £35,000 per week here. He was signed to score goals but cant do that and today looked worse than a non leagues team number 9, earning maybe that same sum a year. He was piss poor GG against a non league defence of part time players and I think fans have a right to be a little pissed off at that. He just didn't put a shift in at all for me. Also, I didn't sense the crowd getting on his back today at the game at all but it didn't make him play any better did it? I'm not even sure he had 1 shot on goal today in 90 mins and for a 'striker' that is simply not good enough. If we stick with him this season we will struggle and if we sign another striker he will be 3rd or 4th choice, not because some fans have a go at him but because he isn't good enough.
Mate, I posted this a few weeks back, from the mouth of a Premier League footballer. This is how we are broadly perceived.
