Looks like Wenger is nearing signing of Higuain.
Tbh surprised that Madrid are keeping white anelkha and letting gonzo leave.

I have a feeling Gonzo will be a bargain for 20 mil quoted for him.

I have every reason to believe we might do a Mata after our chief scout Wenger makes his move!

Gonzo isnt falcao or cavani or bob lew or Suarez or rooney. But he is a decent all round striker.
He is low profile so will have lesser pressure.

What you all feel about this one?

I don't care which top striker we sign as long as we make a decision soon and get it sorted before they're all gone.

Of course, maybe Jose is seriously going to make Lukaku the no1 in which case we'll be all set anyway.

Higuain will be an great signing for Arsenal. A bit like Gomez at Bayern, he has been marginalised so his profile has gone down a bit but both are quality forwards and that it what Arsenal in particular need at the moment. Think he will do a great job. I'd be happy with him but doesn't seem like we are interested.

Watching Chelsea for signs of player transfers is like watching a duck, bugger all to see because it's all happening underwater.
Surely the striker role is being actively negotiated, but not a clue who is coming or going. Not bad tactics, keeps the rabid press really pissed off and making stuff up, keeps other clubs guessing, and hopefully, keeps the prices realistic.
