Just thought I'd get your feelings on Saturday's game. Also, have any of you read the book 'The Naughty Forty?'

If this is a WUM attempt be very careful with posts/Threads like yours!

ANYONE else gets into the issues regarding that book.. will be deleted. END OF!

With regards to Saturdays game.. I'll take a pt but hope we win of course. If TP plays our (best11) I fancy us to win it.

No Wum intended mate. I'm just interested in all aspects of football culture and I read a lot of stuff. This book just happens to be what I'm reading at the the moment.

As for the game, I think we really need all 3 points. We have Chelsea, Sunderland and Spurs in the next three so points there will be very hard to come by!

Fair play to you <ok> and enjoy reading it.. ~Alhtough I'm more than old enough to remember those times I want no part of it and (never did Southbank)

It's just that we're used to wums, idiots, and the totally insane from certain clubs spouting utter rubbish on here.

ALL Reading fans are more than welcome any time South Bank. Seem's reading your board all are sensible and well balanced with their views.. Nice to see that.

Of course I'm hoping for a win on Saturday. But as I said recently on your board. ANY pt away in the Premier League is seen as a good pt.

ENJOY your'e season Southbank and how I wish we had signed Danny Guthrie.. we got Kighly so we'll see who comes out on top this weekend. After which I really hope Reading do well this season. As you will know.. former owner John M is a Stokie born and bred. And he's a legend with the Reading fans and rightly so.

  5. As being local to this game now, 15 Minutes drive and 4 of us travelling to Stoke for the home games, it is nice to have a local game to start with. Like you Potts I would take a point but really we should be pressing for 3 given the trips to Chelski, Anfield and the home delights of Arsenil & Man City coming up. The only salvation is that we play Wigan (salvation???) and Swansea to provide a reasonable chance of early season points.

Half the stuff in the naughty 40 book is made up so I would not take too much notice of it!

As regards the game it all depends on who Pulis puts out and how he lines them up to play. probably a boring 1-0 defeat or 1-1 draw. We are not good away from the Brit.

  9. I remember thos dark days at Elm Park. Shocking afternoon we were crap and lost 3-0. Nick Hancock was concerned how Gary Lineker would take the piss as he had a few episodes of 'They thinks its all Over.'

Hoping it is better tomorrow Waddo!
