almost the same but different sounds

A word game GET ONE that's 2 words a) and b)AND YOU ARE CLEVER, thought about this when I did the answer on the England thread,
you only need to put 1 answer others can add to it then

a)WATCH = SPECTATE OR WEAR ON "BODY" OR THE A IS SOFT
b) MATCH = A IS SOFT OR .......?????

 

FRAUGHT = SOFT A or
DRAUGHT = HARD A OR

 

PANE = SHEET OF or
Pain = CITY LOSE or
