I would be happy if he became our new manager, with Walter smith backing him, great player for us I remember, he knows the fans and area (a bit has changed mind since he played for us !) but keep us up and build on next season.

McCoist was far from a "Great"player for us. It really didn't work for him at Sunderland. The potential was massive, but never realised at Sunderland. He became a great player at Rangers, but certainly not with us.
Not sure about him as a manager.......God knows the owner really needs to make sure the next manager is the correct choice, he gets it wrong, the consequences are horrendous for the club

He could have been a great player for us, but Tom Cowie sold him quick

I wouldn't be averse to a McCoist / Walter Smith duo, but would prefer a Reid / Philips duo

1 goal in 7 games for a striker... Great.

Agreed, he was ownly a whipper snapper when we flogged him to Rangers.
He's managed one of the biggest clubs in Europe & did a very decent job under difficult circumstances.

Pointless, the fans have no affinity with the man what so ever. It's kind of the main factor if you're going for the club link. Only Reid, Phillips and Keane fit that bill, if it's not one of those, forget the club connection entirely imo.

we need a management team with tactical brains, ferocious passion and a no-fekin-nonsense approach to sort out some of the fekers we have wearing the shirt ATM. For me, Pearson and Phillips might meet that as a management team & ffs get rid of Osh*te, Clattermole and the likes whom have seen out to many managers.

Even more baffling is how the fek some of our past managers even have betting odds. Moyes for instance, bleach and a steel scourer is required to cleanse his name of any reference to the club! Bring him back? why yes, but only to test out a set of gallows

I was there and it was some goal, and showed what potential he had, but when it came to football, Cowie made Short look something of a guru. <laugh>

I just don't understand this link with the club business.

What's a blokes links to the club from years ago got to do with his ability to do the job today?

We need someone fresh with new ideas, an understanding of the championship, an ability to motivate and organise.

From what I saw yesterday I didn't see a demoralised squad. I saw some lack of effort from a few but I also saw some real effort and care for the job from others.

We need someone with charisma who can get their message across quickly and efficiently.

Reidy, McCoist, O'Shea, Brown aren't the men for me. I think Pearson could do the job though he aint exactly the perfect model of charisma I'd be looking for.

I still don't really have a clue who to get in.

    Bilic anyone?

Bain getting his mates in imo. Not sure at all about Smith n Ally.

We need a man manager not a football manager to get the players on board. And the c*nts who dont give a damn as someone alluded to earlier, ship the f*ckers out now.

Apparently Phil Neville has knocked back a coaching job at WHU as he wants the managers job for us. Strange.

The thing is he must think he is in with a chance. Deffo not my 1st choice but I dont think the manager is the problem. The players are the problem.

Imagine Phil Neville getting the job and Sir Alex turning up on day one to give a pep talk, won’t happen and don’t want Neville, he’s only remotely ok as a pundit

I dont agree I think the club as a whole starting from the very top is the problem, what message does it send to the players and the fans when you ship out all your best players to the tune of £70m in fees and £500k a week from the wage bill and spend £1.5m the message is we at the helm don’t give a **** anymore, so why should the players (still gonna get paid) why should the fans turn up (sub 25k)

The club is a shambles and the buck stops at short

Allardyce was the nail in our coffin, the perfect man for Safc that I suppose was out of shorts hands and a bitter pill for us all to swallow, besides that a few have said things are wrong at this club for years and now the rot has set in

Oh!!! The players are definitely the problem! That's why we need a strong guy to come in and shake them up!
