It's something that football fans are continually discussing. Who would get in their clubs all time 11. Would players from past seasons be able to compete in today's game? Who would get into your alltime11?
should we include players who we never really seen them playing but everyone praise them such as Byrne or D Edwards?
hmmm .. tricky one.. as it will not be really 100% my choice then when it comes to players i never seen them playing
Do you mean live or on tv? Got to go on what I've read and been told really. Seen the odd clip here and there. I'm thinking Duncan Edwards, Roger Byrne and Bill Foulkes as those I would put in having never seen play in any shape, bar a grainy clip.
yepp.. especially those 2, as i never watched them playing but still don't want to take them off as they deserve a place
So how would you know they deserve a place then? Anyways I'd play 11 Mike Magee's. They'd win every game by default.
Meh. I wouldn't' go including players from over 30 years ago because if ive not seen them play in real life or watched a tonne of footage (like there is with Best) how can I seriously claim X player is better. Besides its a bit unclear whether you mean "best" like Giggs, who were great long-standing players and legends or best like Ronaldo who is technically superior but did a lot less at the club.
Well then you mix it up between what you know and what you've read or heard. The reason I mentioned Foulkes is because of the sheer number of games played rather than having seen much. Seeing as people hold stats so highly then stats can be applied from whenever. I reckon there are three valid goal keepers, the three European cup winners, and it'd be easy to pick three great sides with one in each. I'm having van Der Sar though. Then Byrne Foulkes Stam Irwin Best Keane Edwards Charlton Cantona Law 4 4 2
