Allen Interview

After Hoadie's revelations, I'd like to say that

Am I the only one not being employed by Gillingham Football Club

edit - sorry I didn't mean to say 'employed' - I meant taking a salary.

Yeah a lot of people do seem to being employed by the club, would not mind coaching actually so maybe I should send in my CV. :emoticon-0103-cool:

Just been reading more and now see that Gillingham fan called James Russell is the sports scientist, now it makes more sense to what his role really is as I did not fully understand it by the description Kent Online gave it, good to see he does have experience, hopefully he will be able to do something which will sort out our fitness, however it does make me wonder why a fitness coach is not at the club full time.

This is where you were reading about the staff, around the middle of the page he talks about the coaches I have to say I am so happy that Mark Patterson is staying as he is brilliant. Hope Darren Hare is staying as he is brilliant aswell.

It is good to hear that he wants a goalkeeper coach as this is something which is very important to have, I believe that if Julian Dicks is to join he will be First team coach. I also see that he has appointed a Gillingham fan called James Russell, don't have a clue who he is firstly, how does he know him and also is a professional, anyway I am sure he should only be someone extra to help out with the team.

hoadie where have you seen about dicks joining gillingham fc staff ????

I read something about Dicks earlier today, I am sure it was on Newsnow but it isn't there now so I assume it was bollocks

This was on twitter about Dicks

Apologises if this has already been posted on here anywhere, so many posts recently I can't keep up...

I don't have Gills player (or Hornets Player for that matter), but surely it can't be any worse than the BBC interview he did when he joined Notts County. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/13036140

Thanks for the video. I watched the entire 14 or 15 minutes whatever it was. Nothing worse about it. Exactly what I want from our manager, we are a league two club that needs to be dragged out of this league and I believe that if we can just keep hold of him long enough, he might do that. Old school, fed up with nice, I liked what he said about the fans as well and it being the responsibility of the players. No pasta but beer, think I might sign up for him - lol

the thing that stood out watching that video, was that when he didn't always have answers for what was asked, he didn't try pulling the wool over anyones eyes or avoiding the question, but did say what came naturally to him and in simple words so all can understand.

can see in simple terms that he will demand just that they give there all with no frills, whilst they won't find it hard to grasp what he asks of them and that will only release the pressure and hopefully get them all drinking out of the same glass(hopefully not liturally or on match nights) ! <yikes>
