I still think this guy is our best winger. His last 3 starts -

    City - Assisted 3 goals
Wolves - Rescued us a point
Palace in the cup - Was the only one creating chances.

I can't wait to see what he does with a spell of games under his belt this season under eddie.

I know Almiron has been scoring plenty of goals, but he doesn't really create that much. ASM gets his stick for his defending, but deserves at least the rest of his season to impress.

    Totally agree.

Said it before but in Max’s formative years he was coached by Bruce. Now he has a real coach give him some time and he has the potential to be a key member of our success so long as he listens and learns. I think he will.

Let's see how he adapts to Howe's set up.

i think he could be totally amazing, or just look out of sorts. I hope it's the former.

Or maybe a combination of both - totally out of sorts.

I think it'll be another combination of both, ie he'll be amazing - look out!

The only thing holding him back is himself. No hiding place now, he has to adapt, I think the early signs look good and with a more attacking mindset his injuries will hopefully reduce.

Here’s the weird thing - if he wasn’t at Newcastle and we were linked with him, we’d all be creaming ourselves at the prospect.

He would be like a new signing.

If he be more consistent he'd be a really useful player. Whether it's injuries or just match sharpness, he seems to go off the boil regularly.

He barely plays these days due to injury.

we need a more consistent player in that key position.

Murphy is consistent in that position, but I'd still much prefer Maxi.

    neither preferably.

Diaby on the left with a young speed merchant as his understudy.

He’s the sort of player who thrives on confidence and would benefit from an extended run in the team. Trouble is he never gets it as he is hardly ever fit for more than a handful of games.
