With all of the talk about Rangers going under and having to save £1 million A MONTH on wages to continue operating, it got me thinking about their squad and who we could possibly have a look at.

Anyone think Allan McGregor would be a decent signing as back-up to Chesney? We could get rid of Almunia and one of Fab/Mannone and have an experienced international goalkeeper to call on. The guy is used to winning trophies and at 30 he has still got many more years as a goalkeeper, he could even improve?

This could be a cheap, but effective, way of filling a problem area (backup GK).

TBH he is a better keeper than chesney, yes I'm from Scotland and have seen a lot of him, and in my opinion is a better all round keeper. The reason he has never moved from rangers is because of his lifestyle, his burd is constantly in the papers up here, and even beat allan up about a year ago, and would probably never let him move lol, so she would never be happy being just another WAG down in London when she is the most famous WAG up here.

I haven't seen an awful lot of him to be fair but after seeing Szczesny singlehandedly keep out Liverpool, it would be tough displacing him. Still, every team needs atleast 2 top quality keepers.

Get him in. Very good keeper and will be excellent and show good squad depth to have him as a number 2.

Another potential keeper could be Al Habsi. Probably worth £5 mill, especially if Wigan go down.

True, and I'm 100% sure he wouldn't complain about being our 2nd/3rd choice GK
