All I'm gonna say is; I wanted a manager that would progress us to the next level. This time last year, we were bottom with 6 points. We are 4th from bottom (Sheff Wed 3rd from bottom 2 points behind and a game in hand. We have 11 points. In a year is that progress? I expected more if i'm honest. We can all see we have a massive problem in defence, has it been sorted? No No more excuses, it needs to be sorted Del, Now, as I can't see us doing a great escape like we did last season and there's no Portsmouth to help us either. My 12 match report is; "It started well, but has gone down hill very fast" NOT GOOD ENOUGH......needs to improve very quickly.
Did it really start well? We won 2 games that's it.... Average start, tripped up at Barnsley and we haven't steadied ourselves in fact were still falling and cant get up, when we do we trip again. Sleep cures all night
Actually Shiny, its 3 games and leave Joe Bryan out of it - I was late and heard the interview with DM at about 7.30pm and it seemed claer that Joe was playing to instruction. Plus, it would help if someone had given him the ball every now and again...
Skuse was awful today yes baldock was trying but got out numbered beginning to think Albert isn't a winger comes in to much foster shoulda been left midfield more attacking then Bryan Morris played well I thought some of passing to him was awful know it wrong to say but the break for fonts I hope is a while think we need to move Reid and James Wilson into the actual team Carey showing his age this season which is a shame cause think he is one of the few leaders got on pitch
I have always supported Del but I'm afraid tonight was one of a very small amount of boo's in 30 years, never liked doing it, but tonight taking off Davies deserved it. The back 4 tonight - totally changed from Saturday and resulted in a RB at LB, and Fontaine (our star defender) right side, for Carey. Wilson needs a kick up the ass but is it any wonder he's yards behind the other 3 for their first goal. Del, we need continuity if nothing else. He brought Morris from Scotland - he's worse than Lee Johnson - ok maybe but not he's fu***ng USELESS. Del, your biggest problem since day 1 has been recruiting a top CM and a top defender. You've spent most of your budget on strikers and failed to spend on where we are in desperate need. Im not taking it out on Bryan because I do rate him highly, but seriously that left side was dreadful, foster looks so uncomfortable out there and Bryan was never going to be a threat so it left us with 2 options to go at goal, hoof it or Albert. How many of you are praying for a Mr Greg Cunningham to come back!

The overall spirit seems a million years away from what it was under Millen. If we could only stop shipping goals we'd be doing more than ok.
Once we stop the goals hitting the back of our net,we will rise up the table. Until this happens we are dead certs for a relegation fight.
Joe Bryan at left back looks to have a good future. On the left on midield he looked poor. Think he made 1 run forward with the ball which is why Anderson looked so impresive. Skuse didnt have his best game but in fairness he was trying to cover the whole midfield playing next to a pointless Morris who didnt do anything. Tactics were awful and what hurt the most is we battled back to 3-3 and then stuck all 11 men behind the ball and they eventually scored at a time when we had the momentum and should have tried to get a 4th. Its interesting that When DM was brought in the other choice fans wanted was Dave Jones whos team is currently 23 which quite a good squad of players after doing so well last season.
i have a customer here in Bristol who is a sheff weds season ticket holder,travels up every game,he said they were a poor side.but thought the manager was very good.
We know we have injuries, BUT without them we are average at the mo. But when only a couple of better players get injured we are totally ****ed! Del is playing too many out of position and he is chopping and changing TOO much. Foster needs to be at RB end of! Fonts needs to be dropped (injury now helps this) maybe he will come back better! JW is only young but looks good to me (caulker like) and should get a run, not just a one off now and then! Morris and Kilkenny look too light for championship, Skuse i think should now revert to defence where he blossomed last season. I feel we still havent purchased the "play maker" we shouted for last season! Finally we all love Adomah, but he s still along way off the finished article, but he needs guidance for his positional sense and needs to hit space go wide & FORWARD, as he always comes back and IN to the fullback TOO often.
