Why would you drive 100 Miles to watch a football match, then leave after half an hour? When the third goal went in, 40-50 Brum fans left, by the time the second half started, about 300 of them had gone. I know they were getting tonked, but that really was piss poor.
7 minutes and 26 seconds, actually But the same applies to them. Anyway, I think this is more about the individuals who did leave, not Birmingham City fans in general
None around me, although there probably were a few, there always is. West Brom were the worst, when we went 3-0 up on 66 minutes, their ground was literally half empty. Although I believe the same happens regularly at the Emirates.
Honestly, I think that place starts most games with 25% of the seats empty. Whenever I watch them on TV there are scores of empty seats all around the ground
I'm not saying I would have left but that was one of the most pathetic performances I've ever seen. They might as well have not turned up. Half their team looked uninterested and we're pulling out of tackles... The first two goals were like Sunday league football!
Very true There are only about four posters on their board, and I'm sure five of them don't go to matches...
Liar Liar pants on fire ...... I was digging out rubble from the top of the garden and wheel-barrowing it into the skip I've hired ... bloody killer at my age - strangely Ipswich is one of the away games I normally get to (from where I'm now living) but had promised the missus to lay the foundations for a garden shed this weekend ... glad I didn't go - them and Peterborough are normally home bankers when we play there ...
I think most of those people will have just gone for a pie/beer. That's the experience of City drubbings anyway.
That is sad if they left before the 2nd half... then again maybe there were roadworks that they wanted to avoid!!!
I can guarantee, unless they were ejected for standing up, NOBODY left Bolton after 10 minutes. Due to transport issues we got there 8 minutes in and the stewards struggled to find us seats and they checked each section.
Quite surprised by some of the digs about this. Leaving early was clearly done as a statement to the club, so they understood the fans feelings. Staying and actually supporting the team in the stadium would just maintain the status quo and achieve nothing. Comrades.
