Some are recent events some are decades ago, but if we could skip that for a moment..

What would happen if the Argies now decided to try and re take the Falklands?

Yes there is a hefty amount of personell stationed there, and there is Rapier missiles etc, maybe even a sub or two, but what if they really wanted them, and sent a large scale force in..

Could the UK prevent them? If they took the islands again, could the UK even have a chance of reclaiming them?

Would this goverment have the balls to send a task force there?

It would guarantee a further term for Cameron and the continuance of the Union if we went to war with the greasy ****ers again.

There's a general election on the horizon, so I guess the ****s won't mind sending some more young lads to their deaths so long as they get re elected, just as that **** Thatcher did.

Personally, i'd let the Argies have the ****ing Malvinas, we may as well give them some compo while where at it, it seems the norm these days because of what our ancestors did in the past.

They'd go to war over the Falklands if Argentina invade again even if they have to get signifcant help from others (and I imagine it will be forthcoming at a price). They're not going to kiss that oil goodbye.

Precisely. Oil is about to become huge offshore of the Falklands.

We don't have the capabilty to take back the Falklands. We just made it by the skin of our teeth first time of asking but I doubt we could do anything this time but use diplomacy.

Have we even got an aircraft carrier? Support vessels? The funds? The equipment? I sincrely doubt it.

We could send 16 Air Assault Bde and The Booties, but they would have to sail there, can't see that happening.

We have got aircraft carriers . Illustrious and Invincible . Unfortunately I do believe they carry only helicopters since the Tory government scrapped the Harrier .

A wise move by the government, scrapping the world-beating close support aircraft that we invented and which the Yanks love.

Remember when I said soldiers don't trust the Govt? This would be one of the reasons why.

HMS Ocean, don't think she'll fair to well against jets.

It's gone to far, the UK would be ****ed, and maybe have to turn to the yanks, who would politely tell us to, 'go away'.

Yip a rather silly thing to do considering we would have no replacement for at least ten years .

I wonder what they will put on the flight deck of the new boats currently being built . A nice flower garden perhaps .

So what would be your topics of conversation?

The demise of the Eurovision song contest?

    Well it just so happens.
