The build up to the Europa League final...the build up to the CL final. The disappointment levels of both sets of fans as witnessed on here...the furor that has followed...which of the 2 is the correct statement judging from the reactions?

Arsenal fans would not be able to handle Spurs winning the Champions League before them.

The biggest club in North London tag would have had to go to Spurs imo.

What if your local rivals were further down the leagues but far more successful?

Football is always about winding others up. As I don't really give all that much of a **** about Saints anymore, so whatever backlash I'd get from wumming would be irrelevant, I'd always pick something I am able to use to annoy others.

He hasn’t got the sense or self control mate. His obsession with Spurs compels him to go on and on until everybody but him can see he’s making a **** out of himself.

**** knows what he’d have done if we won. Probably chucked himself off his surfboard, weighing himself down with cans of organic lentils.

Don't be daft that's a silly statement, Organic lentils would be in an environmentally friendly bag of some sort.

If I tried that I'd rarely get to post anything, and if I did I'd porbably get an unjust ban just before it happened, like last time.

I'm so pleased you have taken defeat well <hug>

Great comeback post mate, I had noted you've been absent the last few days on here, but like HiaG lurking in the shadows :bandit:

Anyway, pick yourself up, dust yourself down, and believe, you always have to have hope....and more hope.....and yet more disappointment hope.

While you are correct, I think Spurly is too.

Piskie almost certainly got more joy from Spurs losing the CL final than he did from watching Arsenal lose the EL final.
When your team loses, the only joy you can hope for is watching your rivals suffer the same fate :)

Although Arsenal Fan TV would have been ****ing immense if Spurs had won the CL. There would have been some epic rants on there, that would have almost made it worth it.......almost.......

    Disagree with this.

Yes, it would be humiliating and devastating if they won it before us. And right now, sure, they are the better run club and have a better team. However, winning a solitary CL does not mean they would have overtaken us as a bigger club.

Nottingham Forest have won 2 European Cups, we've won 0. Yet you'd be hard pressed to find anyone who feels they are bigger than us because of that.

We've won 13 league titles to their 2. We've got 13 FA Cups to their 8. They still have a long way to go to catch us up.

    Better? Yes. Bigger? No.

I suppose it depends on how you define a big club.

Turnover, what you've won, gate receipts, stadium size, who is doing better at any given time etc.

I tend to agree Arsenal are a bigger club but being a champion of the whole of Europe and not just England would add some balance in the argument to Spurs favour.

If they had of won of course!
